This is the second time I have had the lovely pleasure of working with Ian now... we got on like a house on fire the first time we shot so I was over the moon to get "round 2" booked in the diary as once you get a feel for each other style of work and interest in different ideas you flow so much more creatively when you shoot together again. This was certainly the case: we had masses of inspiration to keep us busy for a nice little session in the studio... Ian was extremely enthused to apply some new lighting techniques to different looks and just as before: he welcomed my input/let me do my thing pose-wise and then we did the routine thing of seeing what corkers were coming on through (and we did get some corkers!) as Ian would then also spot things and direct when he latched onto a look that looked wicked from his angle. It was quite national angle day that day because Ian was not far off hanging from the ceiling/going through the walls to get some of the shots! He doesn't just take the shot, he will move with the model to perfect little details and do a set as much justice as he can. :)

Same procedure: we had a really awesome dose of banter and laughs mid-shoot as we made wonderful imagery. Ian is such a sweetheart and one of the most positive/fun-loving characters you could meet... and for a creative shoot, that is what you want! It's supposed to be a fun/positive experience for everyone. :) I couldn't think of a single other model that I know/have met that would get along with Ian from the word go. He's a star gent!

Once you've had the first cup of tea, that's it you just bounce off one another with Ian! :D I am quite certain that the next time we work together there will be more opportunity to get out and about because he's got a true knack for adapting to different lighting. and the first time we shot together we got outside briefly and achieved some really cracking work. That will be a session that I look forward to without a shadow of a doubt. :)

Thank you again Ian! Really enjoyed working together this time around - you 1000% have my recommendations!

At last: Ian and I got our photoshoot together after so many attempts but our availability just not working out when I was in his area. It was most definitely worth the perseverance because he had an ultimate blast. :) Ian and I talked beforehand a little about what we will do (as you do) but it also came down to the day and what the outside options were looing like at Joel Hicks Photographic... we had stunning weather and simply beautiful evening light allowing us to get the most productivity-packed session completed mixing up the great outdoors and studio based too. The lovely thing about working with Ian is that he loves to hear his models input too: whilst I'm always prepared to follow a strict brief with a booking, there is nothing more creatively enticing that the invitation to work as a team... poor Ian must have had brain-mush syndrome by the end of shoot because I was darting around at 100mph when different things caught my eye. I cannot thank him enough for being such a sport to shoot with!

As well as valuing what his models bring to a shoot, Ian has some wonderful ideas and visions - he will work with ideas that suit the person he's shooting and once you're there on set he is onto achieving all the cracking angles to do a pose justice. Fabulous photographer in both natural light and controlled lighting conditions! We had initially intended to do most of our work inside but when the weather was looking rather tempting we snatched the opportunity and Ian tackled the changing sunlight absolutely beautifully. :) He's on the ball with the technicalities which is the bit that requires the patience when you're outside.

I most certainly look forward to future opportunities of working with Ian - he's a very kind and courteous gentleman with a wonderfully positive character. The whole photoshoot process is obviously about aiming to produce some lovely pictures (which we did) but it's also getting on and having a laugh because it's supposed to be a fun experience for everyone. Ian is one of those people who would get on with anyone... we had a lovely rapport from the beginning and Ian's etiquette is just wonderful. I can say without hesitation that I recommend him very highly indeed. :)

I had a fantastic shoot with Ian at Joel Hicks Studio. We only had 2h but we made the most of it and went through quite a few different sets. I found Ian very enthusiastic and so much fun to be around. I found him very easy to work with, going through ideas together and showing me what we were getting regularly from the back of his camera. I'm very pleased with the images we've produced from the day and the final images looks great.

I would love to work with Ian again, in fact we have talked about shooting in the lake next time I visit the studio! Thanks Ian for a wonderful shoot!

Ian is a wonderful character, full of ideas and enthusiasm, and is ever so friendly - we shot a mix of nudes, anonymous nudes and some location work at Joel Hicks studio, and I had the most excellent time.

Ian is a breeze to work with, very respectful and chatty. Highly recommended to all models, new and experienced!

What an awesome time we had! Full of laughter and fun! I even pushed myself that little bit more to get inside a box/crate. Haha!

I met Ian for the first time at a studio day at

Joel Hicks place a few months ago a do what a wonderful experiance it was. Ian is a polite and friendly chap who is easy to talk to and made for some excellent conversation during the shoot. He was also very understanding as the other model I should have worked with that day was a no show but he adapted his ideas without any bother and we continued to have a wonderful shoot.

His ideas were indepth, interesting and fun to exiute and we endes up with some fantastic and unique images from the shoot. All in all I thoroughly enjoyed working with Ian and really hope we can shoot together again in the future. I would definitly recomend him to other models. :-)

On the 8th of June I had the pleasure to work with Ian for the second time during my studio day at Joel Hicks Photographic. Ian's pre communications are always very informative explaining exaclty what he is looking to shoot inlcuding styles and outfits. On the day he arrived nice and early and ready to shoot. Ian is very easy to work with, he is professional and captures beautiful images.

I worked with Ian on the 26th may (shortly before taking a break from modelling) when he booked on to a studio day I was hosting through Joel Hicks.

Although I hadn't spoken to him personally (he booked through Joel) prior to the shoot, I found him to be a lovely, easy going bloke who was really enthusiastic and easy to work with, and gave simple direction when needed without speaking down to me.

Ian is a very friendly, chatty individual, and we shot last week at the lovely location of Joel Hicks Photographic for a few hours - what a fun few hours they were! As a fellow Helmut Newton lover, he was interested in taking inspiration from the Sumo book, and we got some dramatic shots, some absolutely stunning images. We also went for a wander and shot outside at the fishing pond, it was idyllic! Ian is a lovely person, with a fantastic eye for pictures, and has an awesome vibe. Highly recommended.

Ian attended my studio day at Joel Hicks Studio days :) . Pre communications were great so we knew what we wanted to shoot before hand meaning it was a very efficient shoot. He was full of ideas that were fab to put into practice, directing wonderfully and using only the best angles....he set up the scenes beautifully and took his time to get the perfect shot, showing me the back of the camera throughout!

He arrived on time, was very professional, super friendly and very well prepared. Ian had a collection of images with him which he wanted to try and we managed to get some lovely shots during the two hour booking.
