I'm an experienced photographer aiming to create images that are artistic, stylish, glamorous, sensual, original, romantic, Gothic, erotic, unusual, fun ... not necessarily all at once!

Looking for models who are beautiful, elegant, committed, reliable, natural, honest, creative, sensuous.  If you're a perfect rose of any nationality or ethnicity with a sense of fun and a burning desire to make beautiful and creative pictures then I would love to hear from you.

Happy to work with models who are under 18, to produce images that are appropriate for someone of their age. If you're not sure what that means, please contact me and I'll explain or we can discuss your ideas.

Recompense ... happy to pay models a fair rate for their time and skills, although times are hard and I'm living on a pension which limits the amount of photography I can afford. I will of course gladly agree to TFCD shoots to explore mutually creative ideas and to help new models build their portfolios and experience. I will often pay travelling expenses for a TFCD shoot ... yes, I'm soft like that.

In the context of model photography I am strictly an amateur photographer. I have experience in wedding and portrait photography and having retired from a responsible and demanding career I'm aiming to build this into a business but current government restrictions have so far made this impossible. I aim to enjoy my photography - and try to ensure that the models I work with enjoy it too.

Inspiration ... I tend to be inspired by artists more than other photographers, particularly the Pre-Raphaelites whose philosophy I admire as much as their work. Looking to explore this style more in my photography - but please note that you really don't have to have a mass of red-gold curls to be a Pre-Raphaelite model!

Not too hung up about chaperones, if you really feel you need one then it's usually OK and I've never yet had a problem. Under-18s normally need a chaperone, but it's not essential as long as I am confident that the shoot has your parents' support.

I tend to be fussy about who I work with, choosing models who I know to be good and reliable. That doesn't mean that I won't work with new people who have the right look, but would normally want to arrange a trial shoot before booking someone new for something important - yes, I have been let down in the past.  Don't be put off though, if you know that you are dependable then you can probably convince me :)

Whilst discreet tattoos may be acceptable, extensive or obtrusive tattoos and piercings are probably going to make you unsuitable as a model for much of my work, I'm afraid. However that doesn't necessarily mean that I won't work with you, and I may well be happy to help you if you are looking for a photographer for an interesting shoot or to help build your portfolio.

Any queries or ideas, please get in touch. I do like hearing from models who would like to work with me and try to respond to all messages, even if it's to say "sorry, but ...".

Finally, if you're wondering about the name it's from a track by 10cc ("Art for Art's Sake") but also reflects the aim of my photography ... I think!  My real name is Ed.
