Basford Hurst Cottage Photography Location

Fleur and I organised a studio day at Basford Hurst Cottage. All pre comms with Fleur were great, she was really helpful when organising the event and made a lot of effort to advertise and sell slots.

On the day of the shoot Fleur arrived on time with everything she needed for a great day!!! She worked really hard with all the photographers who had booked on and all of them came away with lots of wonderful images!!

Fleur is polite, friendly and easy to talk to - She is clearly a very talented and respected model and I would have no hesitation to reccomend her. Fleur is welcome back to Basford anytime and we look forward to seeing her again soon!! Thank you for all your hard work Fleur!! :)

Sheer class describes Fleur very well indeed...

After a first encounter at The Boardroom in Derby, the only possible follow-up was a shoot at Basford Hurst. Fortunately, Fleur chooses her studios for studio days with great care and discernment!

She is, simply, an amazing model. Proof positive that models are like wine, and can age incredibly well.

And... I look forward to working with her again in the future. We'll just have to work out how to do better than the first two occasions. I am confident that Fleur is up to the task!

I had a wonderful shoot with the striking Fleurdelis yesterday. Despite her 65 years Fleur has beautiful face skin, shapely body and the most amazing wiry hair, Her portrait poses are so elegant with her blue eyes penetrating each image. She was up for any pose I suggested and provided a lovely range of costumes and fabric to choose from.

She is in a delightful friendly conversational lady who acts and looks years below her age.

Agile and supple yet with a look of delicacy.

I adore her looks, poses and penetrating eyes which go hand in glove with my dramatic portrait style.

The shoot, at her home, was all done in natural light with a reflector, which really bring out her character.

I cannot recommend Fleur highly enough, if you love portraits that make a statement and willing to appreciate both her agility and yet fragility, then beat a path to her door!

Ivory Flame

I was very happy to have Fleur come and model for a remote shoot at my home studio (arranged by a photographer I knew in Finland, who I've worked with remotely many times previously and in-person).

She modelled on her own for 2 hours, and then we worked as a duo for 2 hours, which worked brilliantly. Fleur was very professional and it was wonderful to see her move gracefully through poses, she makes beautiful lines with her figure and has such striking, delicate features.

Fleur is also such a sensitive, kind and down to earth person, lovely to chat with and easy to collaborate with on poses and creativity.

I was delighted to have the opportunity to have my first shoot with Fleurdelis at her home as she has been on my “want to work with “ list for a while. All the pre-shoot communication were excellent and Fleurdelis was ready to shoot when I arrived. I was keen to use some new creative lenses and capture some creative portrait and body shots. Fleurdelis has brilliant posture and pose, her looks were perfect for the shots in my mind. She can produce brilliant poses and expressions, being able to adapt from back of camera feedback while at the same time she can input her own style of pose that she has developed. I enjoyed working with Fleurdelis and the time flew by leaving much more to do. I look forward to future shoots and recommend Fleurdelis most highly.

I had my first shoot with Fleur at the Boardroom studio on her sold out model day. In our time together we captured a mixture of fashion and art nude style images. Fleur has a unique style where she is able to slowly move her body through gradual movement giving the photographer the opportunity to capture a series of variations on a particular pose. This works so well with her slim and toned body to create a series of dramatic and expressive images. I thoroughly enjoyed our time in the studio together and recommend her to other photographers. The Boardroom

I had met Fleurdelis a couple of times when she had visited the studio for other shoots, and was struck by her poise and elegance. I invited her for a studio day, which was selling quickly. I grabbed a session myself as not to miss out.

Her posing is extraordinary, graceful, deliberate yet effortless. Fleur takes direction well, but is also able to go freestyle. At times, she flows into a dance motion, reminding me of yoga, Karate Kata, or Japanese “Jiuta Mai” – quite something to witness. She knows how to find the perfect angles, helping to create visually stunning images. I believe her go-to level is Art Nude, which she excels at, but I loved shooting fashion with her. Working with her is a joy - she's professional, fun, and brings infectious energy to every shoot. I can't wait to host her again. Trust me, she's a true gem in the modeling world.

It was an absolute delight to spend two hours with Fleur at The Boardroom, as part of her studio day. For me, it was part of my 'Models over 40' project, and Fleur is a wonderful addition to the work.

She's utterly professional, entirely focussed, and with considerable experience as a life model, she holds poses and moves between them at a pack that works well with a camera. There's no need to rush!

Add to that a quiet and charming personality and massive posing ability, and you have a model who's immensely rewarding to have in front of your camera. I definitely wnat to work with Fleur again!

Wow! Never underestimate or assume Fleurdelis a shy Upstairs/Downstairs character. She extended our initial range of images into deep portraiture, expressive emotions, psychologically powerful images that were on a far deeper level of our humanity, revealing and touching me much more than the very nice but often superficial art nude or nice portraits common to us all. I know respect her so much as a human being, understanding what maturity and experience can contribute to our visual art. This is why I am keen to meet and create with serious people. I'd planned a location shoot in Whitby with Fleur, but the British Summer decided on bringing rain to the party so we were confined to the tiny attic apartment where she was staying. Bit of a blow for a two hour shoot you might think but not a problem in the least. Fleur was ready for making the most of the spaces that the location provided. Working with just the natural light in the apartment and a small strobe that I'd brought we worked the hall, bathroom, dining area, balcony, lounge and two different looks in the same bedroom.

This was all achievable because Fleur brings three things to her work; a delicate and graceful flow rather than rehearsed poses, an amazingly luminous beauty (can't believe we're the same age) and fabulously expressive hands. Consequently you know you've nailed an amazing shot within minutes of shooting any particular look and can move on to try something different, which is also made easy by the range of outfits that she brought.

I have three gripes: culling the 400/500 images I shot will be a nightmare, her usual base is just that bit too far so please come back north Fleur, and finally her rates are so outrageously good value I felt guilty (see first gripe)!

I had the great pleasure of working with Fleur, in an attic apartment in whitby and what joy it was.

Her poise, grace ant natural beauty shone through as indeed did her tallant and experience. We shot most of this in natural light a small number with flash and the came the candles.

Fleur poses elegantly and indeed effortlessly, but also took what little direction I gave well resulting getting the shot nearly every time the only restrictions to pur creativity were my skill level and the ambient light which was ever changing due to the weather, a little more space would have

helped too.

In short Fleur is a wonderful and beautiful model book her you will not be disappointed in any way.

I booked Fleur for a small life drawing group.

Her communications were great; timely, concise and pertinent and the booking was easy and quick.

Fleur showed up ahead of time, well prepared and ready to go. We were into the drawing almost immediately and Fleur's experience shone through - I think in the 3 hours we had together we never once had to direct a pose, she poses so fluidly and gracefully and seemed to know exactly what we were looking for.

The group participants have all commented on how much they enjoyed both the session and Fleur's input and company and have universally requested dates for future bookings.

I would recommend Fleur wholeheartedly to anyone looking for a very accomplished, professional model.
