I'm an amateur photographer who wants to get more experience. I got started doing a lot of urban shooting and pics of my friends with a prosumer digicam. Then I moved west and upgraded to an SLR in an effort to better capture the landscapes. I'm never gonna stop taking pictures of the mountains and desert, but I do want to lean back into photographing people.

My style is very documentary. I like working with natural light, and try to capture what's there. I frequently shoot fully manual. As a rule, the only post-processing I do is color level corrections and cropping. The rest of my life leans very heavily on technology, so in this area (and some others) I like to keep things simpler and less mediated.

I'm currently interested in exploring urban/outdoor fashion photography, and more of the soft semi/nude feel as in the Morning images in my portfolio.

I am drawn to contrast, in everything: light, colors, flavors, textures. Despite this I sometimes find high-key lighting fascinating (I think because of the technique needed to get everything properly filled and even).
