I had another super shoot with David last month during my Scotland tour!

This time it was a very early start and we were joined by Carla Monaco :D

We had eight hours (from 5am!) to explore and take loads of great images (which we did) it was an early start but David was relaxed and even treated us to an artery clogging breakfast (which was just what the doctor ordered!!) ;)

After we were back from our adventures we spent the last hour in the studio and got more lovely images.

Thank you, David. I really enjoyed working with you again and hope we can do it all over again next year! :)

Had my first shoot with David on my recent trip up to Scotland, and truly hope it won't be the last!

We had a super shoot, he is such good company and a pleasure to be around.

We worked our way through a few different sets and light/background changes in his studio, and from what I saw on the back of the camera we got some utterly stunning headshots that I was so happy with :D

100% recommended by me and really hope I will get to work with him again, hopefully out on location next time :D

Hurray! another fantabulous shoot with David after our first encounter last year, time has flown by but it's always good fun when you catch up and shoot again because you have a feel for each others style of working and really get into a good creative flow. Which is exactly what happened! :D

When we first shot David had some very specific ideas to conquer which were mostly conceptual indoor/studio based shots and before we knew it... the day had flown by! This time around we managed to some time on location with a bit more of a free/arty feel so that was amazing because anyone that has shot with David will know that he has quite an eye for picturesque location work with his background etc. and that really showed in the shots we achieved. Beautifully captured on his side! :D The sun was shining offering a fair number of challenges to light a super-pale nude pixie against the sky etc. but David composed and photographed each set so well and the results were uber pretty!

The second part of the shoot was in the studio again: beauty and portraits with some new setups that David has got in and the same epic flow. It's always nice to see a photographer taking care to manipulate the light to create the nicest possible effect and be attentive to what the light is doing and here's a chap who will aim for quality in an image rather than just fire away for the sake of doing so. Always the way forward and he'll happily share ideas/welcome input and make it feel extremely team-orientated. :)

As before David was kindly able to host me for the evening after our shoot which made life a whole lot easier since when I normally come to Scotland, I do so by train and bring as much as I can physically drag! So there was no mad rush to get somewhere else once we had called it a wrap... again the willingness to collect from/drop off to the station is a godsend. Thank you so much David, as well as for the really lovely hospitality.

He has a true professional aptitude, total enthusiastic and creative approaches to his photography and injecting the best he can into every set... He's a lovely person as well and it goes super-fast with all the nattering you do mid-shoot! :D Epic/fast communications, lovely studio: just a really awesome person to work with really!

David is very easy going and very easy to work with. We had some nice talks in between shooting. He is super friendly and we had a relaxed and fun shooting in the forest. After the forest we made some photos indoors.

I already got the results and I'm very happy with the pictures.

I would definitly recommend working with David.

I had two shoots with David this week during my Scottish tour. His pre-communications were perfect and I felt happy that everything was organised in advance. It seemed as though the weather was completely against us on the day, so we started in his home studio (which is amazing and warm!) but decided to venture out to a location David found for the afternoon. David was polite, friendly and respectful throughout and despite the rain I think we still got some amazing (and dramatic) shots! David was thoughtful about my safety/comfort being in public and I was the one that decided to brave the rain as I felt so at ease.

David and his wife were kind enough to accommodate me after our shoot in their beautiful home and were lovely hosts! The second shoot was a very early start which David was very relaxed about and let me have the final say in where we went/what we did for this as the weather was potentially not great, luckily we managed to get more great shots at a totally different location (the weather held out) and I got to see some amazing views en route too (bonus!)

Thank you for a lovely few shoots and I look forward to seeing the results!

I had a fantastic photoshoot with David during my tour of Scotland last month. Pre shoot communication was excellent and he was kind enough to pick me up, host me and feed me after a very long uncomfortable coach journey! Much appreciated! :) The shoot was a very early start and he was mindful of my comfort at all times, with ideas about certsain shots and flexibility so I could try ideas of my own too.

A lovely person to be around, I hope to work together again and can recommend 100%.

I had a fantastic first shoot with David on Monday the 20th of February. First of all his pre-comms were first class including a moodboard.

The themes was 60s and we shot both from his fully equipped home studio and from some stunning locations outdoors :)

Th photographs look great and the time simply flew by :)

I had a fantastic shoot with David during my tour of Scotland!

David's pre comms where excellent and i knew exactly the styles he wanted to shoot and how he wanted to plan the shoot, even though there was precise ideas David was very happy for me to take the ideas in to my own and pose freely which is enjoyable for the model.

We worked a little outside, but David made sure i felt comfortable and warm and made sure I knew i could stop the outside shooting if i got too cold which i appreciated a lot as i tend to feel the cold.

David was very professional, creative and has a great home studio.

Highly Recommended! hope to work with David again soon.

David and I had the opportunity of working together on my last tour of Scotland - a little stop off in Perth and was it a productive one with lots of variety/ideas from this lovely photographer and great hospitality too! (David very kindly hosted me for the night so that I was not rushing about on the morning of our shoot).

The communications with David were totally brilliant: any touring model will know how hectic it can be planning so that one day flows nicely into another with order of jobs and David was so helpful from the very start. He picked me up from Perth station (and returned me too), he made certain I was comfortable and well looked after at all times during our shoot, he was professional and really lovely to shoot with which puts a model at ease from the word go and we just all-round had a really awesome day. :) Oh, and his cats are just the cutest!

David had some set ideas he wanted to shoot for a very specific project - when he first described the idea to me I was so excited because it's part of what I do with acting to fit into a particular look or character. On the day of our shoot he was so well prepared and showed me previous examples of work relating to the project and together we elaborated on what we would be shooting looks-wise. He's got a great eye for a moment in time but he's also very keen and enthused to work as a creative team with the models he shoots and listened to my input as well. It was great fun shooting the different concepts; David's got an amazing eye for detail and good quality lighting which his home was perfect for given the natural light opportunities as well as his superb studio conversion. We achieved epic variation, even managing to get outside :) the time flew by but we got plenty of cracking shots in the bag, what was nice about working with David was that once the killer shots had been nailed we were on with the next set and this meant we had a really nice flow going. I think this is important when you have set ideas you're trying to create but a model and photographer bouncing off one another is always a sign of a good shoot. He's fabulous with direction but will also leave a model to her repertoire too thus getting a good mix of teamwork going and his technical understanding of where the light is hitting/composition and all the rest is very much on pointe.

Not only did we get some seriously awesome photos produced, it was a fun day as well. :) Plenty of chatter, laughs and a really lovely atmosphere. It makes such a difference if a shoot is enjoyable/if you click and get on because it shows in the images too. I took lots of back of the camera shots (kindly permitted by David) as I was so exited to show off sneak-previews of the fabulous shots we achieved... I love doing quirky and creative and I sure think that we nailed a good portion of both in our time shooting.

I would certainly look forward to working with David again and cannot stress how highly I recommend him to other models. :) A genuinely nice gentleman and terrific photographer with gallons of enthusiasm for his work.

I worked recently with David on a tour whilst I was in Scotland, We shot at Davids home, It was beautiful really spacious and he has his own studio. Davids pre comms were great, he made it clear what he wanted to do and we did it. The time flew by, we had lots of laughs and fun. David is professional at all times and I would recommend him 100%.

I had my second shoot with David today, which I was looking forward to after meeting him in Scotland recently. He turned up with a fantastic idea to try out! So we experimented with it and created some fantastic shots.

David is a pleasure to work with, he is a very lovely, professional and friendly man to work with. I recommend working with David as he is a wonderful person and he creates brilliant shots.

He directs well and knows how to have an enjoyable shoot. Looking forward to shooting with him again some time.

I met David on a tour in Scotland on an early, wet and dull day. He greeted my warmly at the station and we went for a nice breakfast to warm up and discuss ideas and have a nice get to know!

We went to several locations throughout the day and braced the cold and wet for some fantastic shots! David was full of brilliant ideas and directed well when he had shots in mind. He was very caring and such a joy to work with.

We had nice breaks throughout the day to keep warm and went to some beautiful locations. I enjoyed the day so much and David was brilliant company to have for such a shoot.

I worked with David on a recent Scottish tour at his gorgeous home and had such a great time! It was our first time working together and I was a little nervous but needn't have been as on arrival David was so welcoming, kind and hospitable, making me plenty of cups of coffee- so I was super charged for the day!

Davids home is absolutely beautiful- such a lucky man! Tons of space and even a purpose built studio to the rear of the garden which is a fantastic space with great facilities all in one! Plus gorgeous CATS! :) David was lovely to work with, very creative and full of ideas with different ideas for the use of light. Thankyou for a lovely day and really hope to work with you again on my next trip! (less super strong coffee next time though, I nearly had a heart attack! :P ) Helen x

I worked with David for twelve hours over the space of two days during my Scotland tour and had a fab time.

Firstly, David is super to work with. He is organised, respectful and looked after me very well.

I had a tasty lunch sorted for me on both days, locations were scouted, ideas planned and explained and we had a fab home studio to work in!

We worked our way through loads of genres and ideas in the twelve hours but also had a lot of time to chat, go through images, talk through the technical side and work together on ideas. I also got a little distracted by David's two cute cats (which I don't think he minded...) ;) So all in all a fab two days!!

I really appreciated the fact he took a lot of time to ask me what I thought on 'set ups' lighting and composition. It felt like great team work.

Would love to work with David again next time I am up and would recommend him, his home and his fab studio 100%

I worked with David last year during a tuition day held by John Mc Nairn. This wasn't a 1-2-1 shoot, but I was at the studio for half a day and briefly got to chat to each photographer attending.

I recall David to be friendly, chatty and respectful. He brought along a few props and let me pose freely with them and was happy for me to suggest my own ideas too.

I will hopefully be working with David again this year. Thank you, David :)

I had my first shoot with David early last year doing some boudoir and fashion shots. We shot in a beautiful old house and the time just flew by. Leading up to and during the shoot his communications were excellent. David was organised, professional, enthusiastic and he has some wonderful ideas. We got some beautiful images and I would not hesitate to work with him again. I highly recommend David. Thanks again and I look forward to next time.
