He is so easy to get along with and I felt so comfortable in front of the camera with him. I had my first shoot with Des in December last year and he made me feel so comfortable and confident in myself that I have been on to do a further 2 shoots with himself, I went on to do an outdoor shoot in January this year which was completely new to me as the first I had done was in a studio but I loved every minute and most of that is down to Des being so friendly and helpful. He's so easy to get along with and so easy to work with it just made the experience so much more relaxed and fun. He just automatically makes you feel at ease and he likes to have a laugh and doesn't take it too seriously which helps a great deal. Overall fantastic photographer never been displeased with any of my images, we have created some fabulous pictures together and am excited to make more. Highly Recommend!! :)

I had my first ever shoot with des a few weekends ago and we had another one on Sat. He's super talented and so easy to work with. As I'm very new he directed me and helped me so much and we achieved some really fantastic images. Had such an awesome and fun times on both occasions, really looking forward too more shoots!! Me and Des had our first shoot today. For me it was my first studio shoot. I absolutely loved it. Des made me feel very comfortable at all times and we had a great laugh, he's a very funny man!! Can't wait to see the images and I can't wait to shoot with him again.

Had my first proper shoot with Des today, having previously met him at a group photography event.

What a lovely guy! The pre shoot communication was fantastic and Des was clear and concise in communicating what he was hoping for, whilst also listening to my own ideas and allowing me a lot of creative input. Although it took us a while to find one another on the day of the shoot (phone mishaps), Des greeted me with a big smile and a cup of tea. His studio space was really well equipped and he has plenty of interesting, unique props to play with.

I felt immediately comfortable with Des, as he's so down to earth, lovely and very easy to talk to. Very professional, he has an incredible eye for lighting in particular and was very generous with his photographic knowledge, experience and technical expertise (I had many questions). Des really helped me to improve on several things today, as he is very honest about what works, what doesn't and how things can be improved. Within five minutes of him pointing out a particular tic of mine that I wasn't aware of, I was able to work towards improving it and will certainly put his kind advice to good use in future shoots! I love photographers who help me to grow as a model and Des' constructive criticism and knowledge has done just that!

Open to all sorts of ideas and input, Des allowed me a lot of creative freedom on shoot and was very encouraging when I did something in particular he liked, expanding upon it further and having some fun in the process. We got into a good rythmn towards the end of the shoot (regularly fuelled by his lovely cuppas) and he always made sure to show me the images as we worked, so that I could see what was working and what wasn't. I can't wait to see the final images, though from what I could see on his camera, they're going to be absolutely fantastic!

All in all I had a wonderful time in his company and I would happily recommend Des to anyone. Professional, friendly, encouraging, creative and very talented at his craft, I would love to work with him again in the future. Thank you Des for a really lovely day!

i would highly recommend des lovley guy very perfeshsional helps out a lot and also makes you feel at home hes really kind guy makes you feel confidend witch is important if you doing the right stuff love shooting with des hes like a friend now so we know our dos and don't bout each other thanks des for the wounderful opitunity to work with you again x x x

Des is a thoroughly friendly and pleasant person to spend any amount of time with. He is very relaxed and when he talks about photography there is no bias towards a certain process, you can tell that he is both a lover of images, and a passionate image creator. Watching Des work with a model, you can see that they feel at ease around him, and that he is both a fun and thoughtful photographer to work with.

We've seen some great images from Des' shoot here at BEWT, and we're hoping to see some more in the near future. Thanks for your support Des!

I recently had a photoshoot with Des at BEWT studio in Cardiff after a long time of wanting to shoot together it was definitely worth the wait! It was relaxed and not rushed in the slightest but still very professional, I felt at ease the entire shoot :) Des knew what he wanted out of the shots which made it much easier and communicated really well!

Where can i start?

Des was absolutely amazing today, made me feel comfortable as soon as i got off the train. We headed to the studio nearby which was perfect and the prop's were well set up ready for the shoot. Very Professional manner but also very fun to work with and not too serious as i do like to have a laugh on my shoot's which we definitely did! Would recommend Des to any model and will definitely be looking to shoot with Des again.
