I had the pleasure of working with Mike for the first time last week for a few hours at my home. Pre-shoot communications were great and I knew the style/theme we were going to be shooting. We worked using natural light which can be challenging (especially when the light is harsh like it was intermittently for us) but this didn't get in the way for Mike and he knew how to work with the light beautifully. I am over the moon with the photos that he showed me on the back of his camera and the ones he has uploaded. Mike is professional, respectful and creative. He is focused on getting the best images! He has a great eye for detail and knows what works and what doesn't work straight away. He shoots at a relaxed yet productive pace, giving excellent directions but also allowed me to pose freely too. Highly recommended by me and I would certainly not hesitate to shoot with him again in the future :)

Returned from a fantastic first shoot with Mike! We shot at the stunning Little Chelsea gallery and came away with some lovely images.

Mike kindly met me at the station and was warm, friendly and polite from the get go. He was incredibly easy to work with and we had lots of conversation.

We covered a number of different sets/styles and I can’t believe how quickly the time went!

A wonderful first shoot, hopefully we will get to shoot again some time :)

Another banging shoot with Mike! :D After such an awesome first shoot on a previous tour, I was over the moon when we managed to fix another shoot on my latest tour of Sussex/the South Coast. Mike's communications have always been the best, he keeps me in the loop the whole time... checking studio availability etc. he's just the best at helping get things organised nice and smoothly and I cannot comprehend enough how much of a massive help this is to a model organise tour. He's just awesome!

Cottage studios was the venue again, and Mike had some cracking ideas lined up once more. It's so nice to see a photographer really get technically interested in how to smash a shot and that's the really uplifting thing about working with Mike, he will take his time to get the shot right rather than rush it so you know that there's something really nice in the bag. And oh boy there was! Every set has something magical! He's a genuinely artistic and talented guy who puts so much into his photography passion and you can see it with the way he works... I got so excited going through the back of the camera at the previews of what we were producing. :)

And of course: a truly kind and big-hearted person. He's always really easy to dive into a prolific rapport with and will order the tea-making upon arrival... Bless him I'll be gushing my tea down and he's just like: "oh don't worry Keira, you have your tea!" Plenty of laughs throughout and generally just bouncing off each other. :D I thoroughly enjoy working with Mike and hope to do so again soon! He shows such utmost respect and professional courtesy to his models so whether new or experienced, he makes you feel really well looked after on the shoot.

Someone I highly recommend once more, what an absolute star and delightful photographer to work with/be in the company of. Thank you so much Mike! :D

I had my first shoot with Mike whilst on my tour and I am glad that he decided to book myself and Marla as a duo. The shoot went well as we were able to simply pose and create different styles of images throughout the shoot. Time flew by and he got lots of shots. I look forward to a second shoot on my next tour and I highly recommend him to all models both amateur and professional

Mike and I worked together for the first time yesterday at The Cottage Studio for 3 hours in the morning. Mike came with a range of ideas in mind. We shot artnude and bodyscapes with our time. He created several lighting setups throughout the morning, each effective but different to the one before and the next.

Mike is friendly and easy to work with, he also has a great eye for light. I am very happy we got to work together and hope to shoot together again when I next come down. He is definitely recommended by me and I can't wait to see more images.

I had been in touch with this lovely photographer earlier in the year when we unfortunately just missed the opportunity to shoot together when I toured through Mike's area: but it didn't matter because our awesome shoot wasn't far away and the next trip I had lined up for his neck of the woods saw us finally get the chance to nail it: and boy did we nail it! What a fantastic photo shoot we had at cottage studios that day... we were bouncing off each other from the moment we kicked off with the first idea and from there on each set produced unquestionably superb results. :)

Mike was an absolute star whilst we were getting everything organised: I had a few different shoots to coordinate around the time and it's the usual issue with planning tours: you're waiting on the person shooting the day before to confirm prior to sorting out the next one thus to make sure you don't double book anything and Mike was so patient whilst I was waiting to hear back from all these different people. I have so much credit to give for how awesome he was with communications, it helps a model so much when you literally have email tennis going on in several different message threads trying to work out schedules and what not. Mike is darn brilliant for this aspect alone! Full details of what to bring - he covered everything! :)

On the day I was met with this friendly and down to earth gent who was easy going and so respectful - I'd just had a battle with the satnav looking for the studio and Mike was just "don't rush/have your tea/no pressure" ...Such a polite and encouraging chap, exactly the kind of photographer temperament a model hopes to receive on a shoot. He has a professional approach to photographing models which is clear in his etiquette and he will run ideas by the model as you get through the sets and also encourage team input which is nice. We enjoyed plenty of chatter with a good rapport which made the time fly by, he's such a lovely person who I recommend so highly.

The broadness of the ideas we got through was stupendous - Mike really pushed the boat out in terms of challenging himself with different lighting setups which were harder than first meets the eye when you look at an image/mood board before you start shooting. He perseveres with epic creative interest and will work the composition/angles for the best possible outcome for each look. In the half-day we shot, the sheer variety we did was phenomenal and I just loved seeing the beautiful images (one after the other) on the back of the camera. Mike did a tremendous job! :)

He came with a mood board all prepped on his computer and knew exactly what he wanted to shoot. We worked through several different themes and from what I saw on he back of the camera and what he has posted already we got some cracking shots :D

Happily showed me pictures on the back of the camera and from what I saw was some really lovely shots.

Had my second shoot with Mike today at The Cottage Studio! So happy with how it went! Was lovely to shoot with someone I knew, we ahve both signed upto Zivity since our last shoot so did some stuff for Zivity and had a good giggle doing it!

Mike is so easy to talk to and get along with. Hes good at directing but at the same time works with you to achieve an image.

Couldnt have asked for a better shoot.

I yesterday worked with Mike at a Studio day, He was so lovely! He welcomed to the studio, let me settle and set my stuff up while he did the lighting and such. He was great to chat to, gave direction well and also allowed me to put my ideas in too.

He was all round a great guy to work with, I really hope we can work together again!

Emjem booked me on one of my studio days at The Little Chelsea Gallery. He arrived right on time and he was really easy to model for :) He was happy to let me 'do my thing' and I think we got some great photos. Emjem came fully prepared to the shoot and time just flew by. I do hope to model for Emjem again some day :) 100% recommended by me.

I shot with emjem on my Eastbourne adventure, at wonderful Little Chelsea Gallery Studio - for a couple of hrs we shot in the stunning derelict room at the top of the studio building....emjem brought some excellent ideas to the shoot which were fun to put into practice.

He's professional & gives wonderful direction, using the light to perfection!

I wholeheartedly recommend emjem to all, a very talented photographer indeed :)
