I had a great first shoot with Derek at the hotel he had booked. Pre comms where excellent so I knew the aim of the shoot and the items to bring. The shoot with Derek flew by because he was very easy to work with, chatty and professional.

I really enjoyed the ideas, which we both developed together which lead to good collaboration!

I hope to work with Derek again, Highly Recommended!

This was my second shoot with Derek. He's a very interesting photographer and person. Very intelligent and interesting to converse with for a couple of hours.

Also very nice and very good in what he does. Never too happy with what he creates. But always happy with your effort to help him create.

I was very happy to see him again and found it a very nice and creative collaboration and challenge to work with his ideas. He was also kind enough to give me a ride back to where I was staying and offered me loads of advice on my own photography which I told him I wanted to pick up again. Thank you Derek! You're just lovely :)

I would totally reccomend Derek to all models.

Well the first shoot was fantastic enough but the second even better! The creative energy between us really seems to work so perfectly and I love every minute. Knowing for a fact that an established photographer will probably create an incredible photograph of you gives you that freedom and confidence to really go with the flow... I always feel a creative rapport with a photographer but it's very much heightened with Derek. Certainly highly recommended, should you get the chance to work with him!

Derek is a legend!

I've been working with him on a regular basis shooting for the Futon Company for a couple of years now, and more recently worked with him on a personal project of his - from which the results were nothing short of amazing.

He's a true gentleman with some incredible experience behind him and a lot of interesting insight.

Also a pretty funny guy, but don't tell him I said that.

Would recommend any day.

I'm so pleased to have worked with Derek last week in London. I wasn't aware before the shoot how much of an experienced and successful photographer he is, as he's too modest to blow his trumpet on PurplePort. But once we met we talked a bit about the fascinating portrait work that Derek has done in the past and had many interesting conversations about photography.

Derek's calm demeanour and self-deprecating humour make him easy to work with and good company, and I really enjoyed out shoot together. Moreover, he had brought with him an impressive selection of ridiculous garments and props, many of which were bright pink, which made me very happy. I'm looking forward to seeing how some of the pictures turn out and most of all I enjoyed meeting and getting to know Derek.

I would not hesitate to work with Derek again and I can wholeheartedly recommend him to other models too.

I had a very very nice shoot with Derek. He was very nice company. I was getting worried we had too many interesting chats in between shooting! haha

I felt really challenged, creatively. It made the shoot very fun and enervating and I have nothing but good memories of it.

Derek was a total gentleman and inspiration throughout the shoot. I really hope he visits me in the Netherlands one day! Or I would love to shoot with him again on my next visit to London :)

I had a really great shoot with Derek whilst touring in the south :) I got a lovely hotel suite in London to shoot in and Derek applied to my casting to shoot me there. Derek arrived right on time for the shoot and even went a bought me a orange juice before we started shooting. We shot for 4 hours but they just seemed to fly by :)

Derek is very easy to model for and came well prepared to the shoot even with some clothing and materials :) He used the lovely natural light we had in the room to his advantage and we used every part of the suite we could think of to use.

I do hope to work with Derek again. 100% recommended.

Arranged a shoot at a Apartment I was staying at whilst in London, it was our first time shooting together, 2hour shoot but a very productive one, a lovely photographer who was polite with a professional attitude throughout!
