Fetish, Glamour and Lingerie
I began photographing models back in 1983 when I bought a second-hand Minolta SR-1S which weighed a ton and had no automatic features whatsoever; a great way to learn. Various people began asking me to take shots for them and I soon invested in studio flash equipment. Apart from glamour I also did do some paid work doing weddings, portraits, light industrial with an old Bowens Multilec system capable of turning night into day. I also had a set of nude shots published in Paul Raymond's Escort magazine, back in about 1986.
Later I progressed to owning not just one but two Hasselblad cameras; these I used for weddings which I did virtually every week for about 4 years. I found weddings great fun; it was not perhaps so much about photography as organizing nervous people who were understandably a little stressed on their big day. At about that time I bought my first video camera and decided, as an amateur, that I would like to use this in the model side of things. I find video such a flexible tool and having Adobe Premiere as an editing suite control over the finished product is considerable and rewarding.
