I shot with Drew recently after messaging back and forth and pre comms were great as he sent over a clear list of things he wanted to shoot and let me know what to bring along.

We shot some vintage boudoir type imagery and some other experimental stuff, and some close up lingerie shots that have even been accepted for publication!

Drew was a pleasure to work with throughout, made sure I was always comfortable and provided tea and coffee.

I would definitely recommend Drew to work with, as we had a great relaxed shoot and I would definitely work with him again.

Hopefully we can organise some fashion styling stuff in the future. :)

I had a great, creative and productive shoot with Drew at his Studio during my mini Birmingham tour. He is professional, experienced, friendly, respectful, creative, passionate about photography and a great human being!

We got through all of the ideas that we wanted to shoot in the time that we had and we even added some boudoir-like body scapes too.

Drew made sure we had a few short breaks for e cig/smoke breaks and was very hospitable with making sure I was offered coffees. We had great conversations also about photography and important moments in history and art. I really enjoyed creating with Drew, a photographer that is passionate about his art and is a creative individual.

I highly recommend Drew and I hope we get to create together again in the future :)

I am so happy to have met Drew. He is a caring, kind and humble man with a beautiful artistic vision. I love meeting artists with a similar creative mind and outlook in this field and for this reason the results are gorgeous and perfect.

Drew had a few ideas, perfectly thought out, expressive authentic projects and I was excited to pose for these, I was allowed to move freely, with ease and I felt like I was playing and dancing. It is shoots like these which embraces my love for modelling. I thoroughly loved it all.

Drews lighting skills allows smooth and perfectly soft on the eye results, it is not surprising his work is in galleries and exhibitions.

Thank you for a beautiful day, it was delightful and it would be an absolute pleasure to work with you again.

The studio is really easy to get to!!! The studio has a separate changing room, it was warm and unlimited cups of tea...perfect!!!

Communication with you while organising the shoot was spot on and the conversation flowed quite easily throughout. I felt totally at ease and you were nothing but professional. Recommended To All xX

I worked with Drew for the first time a few weeks back. The shoot was amazing, Drew is very talented!

Pre comms were thorough and the shoot was well planned (we had to postpone due to Covid at least once!), Drew explained the narrative and context to his shoot and it was easy to get incredible results because of the mutual understanding that created.

Drew is creative, professional, lovely to talk to and the results speak for themselves. I would highly recommend working with Mr Kirkland if you haven’t already!

Worked with Drew afew times now but today was our first "studio experience", location wise, Drew is always a pleasure whether that's out and about or several foot deep in water. But I often find Studio settings offer a different perspective on how a photographer is so figured I'd share a fresh ref.

It went perfectly! Honestpy couldn't have hoped for more really, Drew was, as always, a pleasure to work with, full of ideas and went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and happy with what we were getting. He kept me in the loop with the "back of cam" so we could see what we were getting and pick a direction to follow (relaxed shoot with nothing rigid planned).

Social distancing maintained, coffee/tea available, chatty and relaxed.

I was really pleased with what we got and would ofcourse jump at the chance to work with Drew again in the future!

Wow, my first shoot with Drew went so well! It was also both of my first creative shoots since lockdown too!! And what a great start. Pre-comms were great and we fully planned the shoot beforehand which not only enabled me to pack everything i needed but also gave us a schedule for the day to make the most of the half day shoot time that we had. Drews studio has the perfect set up for the projects he is working on, and having now seen the final results I can boldly say his work is great! Drew used a few different techniques and styles to the togs I tend to work with, particularly through my commercial work, and so it felt really great to get so creative and get such a great turn out. If you have the opportunity to work with Drew, I would say defo take it. I know that if asked again, I also will be doing so! Thanks Drew!

I had my first shoot with Drew, and it was brilliant. Pre-shoot communications were fantastic, and I felt very confident of his regards for my safety regarding Covid. His precautions he's put in place are very good! As for the shoot itself, I felt comfortable shooting, the shoot had been planned out thoroughly so it flowed well and made sense. We were able to create a selection of beautiful images, in a style I hadn't done before which was very exciting. He was very respectful of my levels, and we're both pleased with the images we created.

I definitely recommend working with Drew, and would happily work with him again if the opportunity arose.

I had a lovely time shooting with Drew! His pre-shoot communications were excellent, he thoroughly explained his aims for the shoot as well as Covid-safety precautions such that I felt very safe and happy.

Drew was very aware of my comfort ensuring the studio was nicely warmed up before my arrival and that I had ample time for drinks between sets. Drew is a very creative photographer and isn't shy to try experiment with a range of lighting/camera settings and equipment in order to achieve the best shots possible. He communicates very clearly and well his thoughts during the shoot making it easy to work together and perfect any given shot.

Drew was very friendly and professional throughout the entirety of the shoot, we achieved some beautiful results and I am more than happy to give him my full recommendation! :)

I had my first shoot with Drew this week. Excellent communication. Drew gave me all the information and details I needed before the shoot. The day of the shoot he welcomed at his studio, all set up ready to start and with all the Covid precautions.

We shoot for his pinhole project, creating images using long exposures. Super cool project, I enjoyed lots modelling for it. I could see the images all the way through using an iPad and we got some very nice one :)

I highly recommend Drew, not only for his professionalism, talent and creativity but also for his personality: very friendly, polite and able to make you feel at home.

I honestly couldn't recommend Drew enough!

This was my first time working with Drew at Telsen studios.

Pre-communication was flawless, every detail was covered and I had a good idea of what to expect in advance. From this, I already had a strong impression this would be a very creative and interesting few hours and I was not disappointed!

Drew is polite, friendly and professional and the time flew by. In fact, the only negative is I wish we'd had more time to make more beautiful images and chat about art haha.

Highly recommended and I sincerely hope we'll work together again :)

But he also knows his craft and is very creative! And after he was also so kind to drop me of at the address where I would be staying.

Drew messaged me to arrange a shoot for his motion blur project and I am so pleased he did. He is incredibly talented and so creative. His pre comms were really on point and I knew how the shoot was going to go. When I arrived I was greeted by him and he helped me take my bags upstairs. Had another lovley session with Drew . Drew was well prepared and explained the concept that he wanted to shoot . It was a hot day but he was very accommodating with refreshments and a cooling fan with breaks .

Drew showed the backs of camera throughout the shoot so I knew what was and wasn't working .

I was fortunate enough to be photographed by Drew on an underwater shoot earlier this year. The pictures he took were beautiful. So dreamlike and very clear in detail despite being underwater. I'm a less experienced model and Drew was excellent at providing me with direction, to get the best possible results on the day. A very talented photographer, you'll be pleased with his work!

I will add that Drew is also very professional and a nice person who is easy to get on with. I am very happy overall with my experience.
