I had such a lovely second shoot with Derek! As always, he is polite and very easy to talk to. We got through so many sets in our short slot together and time flew by. From what I saw BOC we got some gorgeous images and I can't wait to see the final results! Hope to work together again soon and would highly recommend working with him :)

Derek stepped into my studio day last minute after a cancellation and I am so glad he did! Derek from the get go was polite and easy going and arrived with plenty of time so that we didn't feel rushed. He is friendly and has a lovely sense of humour. From what I have seen so far he took some fabulous images and I can't wait to keep seeing more. I hope to work together again soon and would highly recommend :D

Wow! Derek Is just fantastic!

I had the utter pleasure of modelling for him on my trip to Scotland, he is a true joy to be around. He was chatty and personable. I felt comfortable and like I was honestly modelling for a good friend! He made the time fly! We had so much fun but it seemed the shoot was over before we knew it! It was that incredible that time disappeared! I’d adore to model for him again in future..

A memorable day shooting with Derek. Extremely kind and proactive person, and a very proficient photographer.

At his first experience with latex, the results are incredible! Top lighting technique, increibly sharp images, beutiful angulations. I confortably highly reccomend Douglas and look forward of working with him again!

I had a wonderful remote shoot with Derek! Derek is a great guy- respectful, friendly, chatty and makes you feel comfortable.

Derek is also pretty easy going but gave me an idea of the kind of thing he would like to shoot- we also threw in some shiny stuff at the end though!

Overall a very enjoyable 2hrs and I look forward to working with him in the future.

A fab second shoot with Derek. He booked me as part of my tour to Edinburgh. We decided to go out and do a location shoot. Derek choose a great location. It was a converted railway tunnel. Not used by trains anymore but its all painted on the inside and has amazing murals. Dereks Wife came as well which was nice because we all worked together finding spots to shoots. He was also really understanding as it was November. I was shooting fashion but i still put my big coat on every 5 minutes to warm up. We managed a winter look and a mad colourful look. It was good fun and i really enjoyed it. I hope we get to work together again. Hopefully in warmer times though haha.

Derek knew exactly what he wanted from the two hours which is always a great help on remotes- I can plan ahead and be ready!

Was so nice to catch up after all these years and I love the results.

We even went and shot some street fashion mid shoot which was super fun! And despite falling on my ass and us getting temporarily locked out the apartment we had an absolutely blast and got some epic images :)

I had a lovely remote shoot with Derek. Firstly, he sent a mood board of ideas which were really inspiring and then together we discussed some options for styles, backdrops and a plan for which order to shoot in and how to light and which backdrops to use. And then throughout the shoot Derek was easy going, patient and very happy adjusting camera settings and navigating the remote aspect of our shoot. From my perspective we captured some different looks and interesting styles of which I’m so pleased with the results. Derek was fun to chat to, courteous and relaxed. All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable shoot with great results.

Summers Abroad

Derek joined us on our B.E.A.C.H event. It was our creative collection event of the summer so we had multiple themes all under one roof; Sci-Fi, 70’s, Copa Cabana, Arabian Nights, Venice Beach and Movie Night.

Derek was shooting remotely alongside another photographer and was super easy going. He was prepared with the equipment he needed for the shoot and knew what he wanted to achieve which makes Mr Summers job a lot easier :)

Derek is such a lovely guy and it was a pleasure hosting him, hope we get a chance to host him in person next time :)

After many years of missing each other, Derek and I finally managed to shoot together... Scotland to Cyprus!

It’s always a little nerve racking working with people for the very first time, especially on remotes as you really hope they will like your space etc... well I needn’t have been concerned! Derek and I had a fab shoot and I had so much fun! It was laid back and chatty and we got through so many different sets and fiddled about with different ideas and catching fleeting bits of sunlight on walls! Such an ace shoot and I hope we can do it again soon!

Another fabulous remote shoot with Derek!

This time we shot from my home using the new sets I have decorated/designed. It was SO lovely catching up with him again and as always the creativity and ideas were flowing between us. It's so nice when you can bounce ideas off each other, and we even had a mad moment of burying my husband in the palm tree for assistant duties/leaf wrangler haha!!

Derek has booked a remote slot on my Summers Abroad 'B.E.A.C.H' event in Kent in July, and I'm already looking forward to catching up with him and hosting him on that if I don't see him before :D

I had the pleasure of working with Derek on my remote studio day on Sunday. Derek was able to direct clear instructions for adjusting camera angles and light positioning. We worked well as a team as communication was excellent throughout as well as prior to our shoot. The shoot was relaxed from start to finish and it was nice to chat a little in between and take in the fabulous stories he had to tell. Super nice guy, really friendly, and I throughly enjoyed our time shooting together.
