Worked with Douglas at a bodypaint shoot I took part in had met him before at a previous one but we never got the chance to work together. The shoot was a great success and the images so far have been more amazing than I thought. I’d highly recommend Douglas he’s very professional gives great feedback and direction if needed has a friendly manner and produced professional and great images. I’d work with him again any day

Worked with Douglas at Barries studio up in Scotland which was fun and productive. It entailed mainly boudoir, using side lights to create a moody feel to the images. He also experimented with some backlighting as well!

Douglas is a lovely person to work with, super friendly, chatty and easy going. I enjoyed the shoot very much!

Highly recommended by me and I'd love to work with him again!!

Dougie was one of my last shoots during my recent tour of Scotland - we booked in a couple of hours at Steel Studio's, Glasgow and nailed out the most gorgeous images from just a handful of outfits that I adapted as per garments worn and Dougie adapted as per stupendous lighting changes. We made the most cracking team - the only thing was we looked at the clock after going for it hammer-and-tongue and could not believe it! It was like someone had been tampering with a fast-forward button or something! Or maybe we were just having way too much fun and productivity during our shoot! :D

Even though I only officially went in the changing room twice to switch outfits; the amazing variety Dougie produced in the images by utilising the magic of angles and technical input. He has a wonderful creative knowledge with photographing models and you can see that he strives to do each erratic pose the full justice/extract the greatest beauty out of his subjects. :) Whilst he values the models input and let me just go for it he was a brilliant communicator of what looked good so I could work it so more... when you receive this kind of encouragement mid-shoot, as a model you go for it even more so! The whole session brought about some striking results, I didn't know which ones to take back-of-the-camera shots of for social media. There was just masses of corkers, but that's what happens when you work with a fab photographer; the image hit rate is very high indeed because they bounce off you and never miss a single opportunity.

The making pictures process aside... Dougie is a really kind and joyful gent who loves nothing more than to enjoy a laid back, chatty and high-spirited photoshoot. :) He is very much an easy chap to get along with and delivers utmost professional etiquette with the models he shoots: respect, appreciation, positivity, courtesy and comfort are all things you will experience if you are due to shoot with this good-hearted creative soul. And that is of course not mentioning the epic banter, laughs and all things that come with an enjoyable rapport. I couldn't see any model not gelling with Dougie. He's a true star!

I've seen a couple of the shoots edits up to now as a quick share and view in-between my hectic travels and they are coming out fantastic! I am so much looking forward to seeing more make their way into the big wide world as we really did nail a terrific shoot that morning. :) I very much look forward to working with Dougie again soon - hopefully down my neck of the woods as he gets around so much! I would not need to think twice about recommending him. Thanks again Dougie for a really awesome session!

Artemis Fauna

I had a brilliant shoot with Douglas a few days ago during my Scotland tour.

He booked me for a couple of hours and we used the nice hotel room I was staying in (which was in Glasgow)

Douglas was on time and full of energy! We had a fab little shoot and the time just flew by. We took loads of great images, chatted a lot (about cats, mostly!!) and I can't recommend him enough.

Really hope we can work together again one day- whether that's down my way or in Scotland again.

Had a great shoot with Dougie. He is a true gentleman. Picked me up from the station and we chatted on the way to the location with ease. He brought lots of outfits and ideas with him. We left the shoot with more ideas than we started. I look forward to working with him again, perhaps involving a shoot with my bass guitar! 😊

Very professional, kept in contact before and after the shoot,he organised a lot for the wedding/Jessica rabbit shoot and it was a fun, I would highly recommend to other creatives.

I worked with the lovely Doug on my Scottish tour at Barrie Spences lovely studio in Livingston. It was our first time shooting together and Doug had kindly booked 2 hours of my studio day. I had such a fantastic,productive shoot together and thought Doug was extremely charming, kind, professional and courteous to work with!

We got through alot of ideas in the 2 hours we worked together and I can't wait to work together again on my next tour! I think we should make a day of it next time :P Highly recommended to other models to work with, a lovely man,thankyou for a lovely shoot!

A big thank you to Dougie who came to shoot me whilst down in the Midlands, and was such a professional, friendly and polite gentleman.

Dougie was friendly and engaging from the offset and made me feel relaxed, and comfortable throughout. We had a good laugh, and created some lovely images during the shoot. Dougie is very experienced, and uses his technical knowledge in the best way to create great results. He is obviously enthusiastic about his work, but also shows consideration and kindness to those he works with.

Hope to work with this lovely gent soon and highly recommend him.

I had the privilege of working with Douglas last year for a wedding themes shoot. Douglas was great to work with. He made his vision for the shoot very clear. His communications were excellent and he was just a delight to work with on the day. I was very happy with the images from the shoot and would highly recommend any model looking for great images gets in touch with Douglas!
