DEE JAY TOGG

My name is Deividas. 

I am Lithuanian born photographer, living in UK for the past decade.

My photography journey started in 2012, when I've bought my first camera (Nikon D7000).

Mesmerized by female body shapes, I've started to search for something else, not knowing exactly what it was.

The scent of feminine essence pushed the interest for numbers and camera setups slightly more towards the background. Femininity and all of its attributes has become the key point of interest in my photography. 

Inspired by visuals from 90s cinema (Wild Orchid (1989), Lake Consequence (1993), Two Moon Junction (1988), Basic Instinct (1992)); and the photography art by Helmut Newton, Herb Ritz and Steven Meisel, as well as Jurij Treskow; I've started to unlock my true potential expressing the way I see and feel the world around me through the camera lens. 

For short time photography has been my full time job. It has been my hobby for years too. But I would say, it is rather the way of life than any of the previous.

I still sometimes question why am I doing it. There has been some mixed opinions coming from various IG communities as well as from my own family members. But then comes great moments during the shoots, a reminder of my biggest ''Why''.

While shooting, I sometimes get to drawn into the presence of now  - the wholesome feel of everything and nothing.

No thoughts of the past or future. No expectations. No time. A short moments, a reminder that life is flowing through me and others simultaneously. All I can do is to feel it and try to capture it.

I am happy I've picked that camera back in 2012.
