OK well firstly I'd like you guys to know that the wonderful three day shoot I had with Richard was in the south of France. He was kind enough to let me take my partner with me. I've been scratching my head about how to write this reference as so much happened lol. So I've disided to write it dairy style. All pre shoot comms were great and he organised my plane ticket and hotel without fuss. It was my first time doing a shoot abroad and he really went out of his way to make me feel relaxed, comfortable and safe. I will try and keep this as short as I can lol.
Day 1: I received a text to ask me if everything was OK before I had left for the airport. When I arrived at Montpellier he was there waiting for me at the airport. He drove me to my hotel room and checked I had everything I needed and then gave me an hour to chill. We then did our first shoot in my hotel room for an hour or so. Without my partner ha ha, he went to explore the town. We then met up with Richard later on at 7pm to go for a drink and talk about, well, everything lol. He was a terrific host and told us about the history of the town which we enjoyed.
Day 2: This was out only full day so we were keen to get as much done as possible. He picked me up after a wonderful breakfast at the hotel. We did a beach shoot near by. I'd never done a beach before but he was very good at directing me. We all went for coffee afterwards at a near by market town as we were thirsty and he was very considerate. We did a street shoot walking through the market getting some lovely natural shots along the way. After we left the market Richard told me we would be going to a wooded area for a shoot. We shot there for a while, I loved it there his local knowledge really shine through. A shoot was planned on top of a historic tower but there were too many people about. We decided to go for lunch afterwards. Richard prepared a home cooked lunch for all of us at his home in the town we stayed at. He even managed to make us a British cup of tea or two, you know, with milk in lol. We did another shoot at his house and then called it a day. He'd made us feel very welcome at his home and it was greatly appreciated. My partner and I had the afternoon to ourselves so we could relax and enjoy the beautiful town we were staying in. Did I mention we stayed within the citadel there? It's a beautiful 13th century fort and it's full of friendly people. We met up for dinner and talked about the local culture and just about everything else. We all went to an amazing restaurant that serves the best steak I've ever had, hands down. We learned about how to tell if an oaster freash and how to eat them. Bless him he did offer me one off his plate but I had to decline. Honestly, he's such a lovely man and is very good at what he does. He is intelligent, thoughtful and very kind.
Day 3: Our last day in a place we all grew to love in no time. After a wonderful breakfast of croissants and jam (for me anyway) we packed our bags. Richard and I did one last shoot at his house. He was a fantastic host as always. I was treated exceptionally through out the whole time he really did take good care of us. Bags packed and with us checked out of the hotel we loaded up Richards rental car. We went for lunch at one of the local restaurants and had a laugh at all the fun we'd had. Richard drove us all to the airport and dropped of his rental car. We had plenty of time for a coffee before boarding so we all did. Richard did give us the option of flying to France on the same plane as him. We felt better off catching a later one as we had further to travel to the airport. The planes were only a few hours apart. We were all on the same plane going back though, even if we were at either end of the plane lol. We did see each other as we walking through the departures lounge trying to find the exit. We all said our goodbyes and see you next times, I really hope there is a next time.
When we were shooting it was all professional. When we had chill time it felt as if I was on holiday with a dear friend. I hope you did read all of this reference. Simply because I think people need to know what a wonderful man I had the privilege of shooting with was like. Thank you so much for this amazing experience Richard I'll never forget it.
I would 100% shoot with him again wherever that may be. Highly recommended, as a photographer and person!!

Richard is a respectful, respectable, friendly chap and therefore easy to get on with. He has certain criteria to meet but that doesn't stop him being creative, as well as intent on maintaining quality which is absolutely perfect for me... quite good at speaking French too!
A truly enjoyable shoot and I absolutely highly recommend Richard to work with; take it from me that you should have confidence from the first moment that he will be a gentleman and a professional throughout.

Hello reader.
I had a fantastic shoot with Richard today! He was really friendly and he's an amazing person to work with. I'm so glad to of even met him, I feel privileged to to worked with him. He's a complete gentleman and is very polite. Pre shoot communication was good and shoot communication was very good ha ha. He turned up a little early which was nice 😊. It ment we could sit and have a cuppa before we started and talk about clothing and ideas. We are already planning our next shoot project and I'm really excited about it 😀.
I would 100% recommend him!!
