Development

Bit of a sideways reference this - we worked together on a shoot today.

Rob was helpful and thoughtful to ensure we BOTH got the shots we needed and generous in lending me some triggers so I could play with my lights in a different way. He is clearly very creative and knows his stuff What a good egg.

Though he DOES look like Gimli :)

Just finished shooting with Rob on a 60's style shoot - had a great day! Pre shoot Rob really brought on the ideas and had some great suggestions - he took the time to get himself acquainted with what I was going for but also allowed for the shoot to feel spontaneous and to go with the flow. He kept showing me how things progressed throughout the shoot and was really encouraging with regards to posing/giving direction. I cannot wait to see the results and would definitely like to work with Rob again - highly highly recommended!! Thanks for the cigarettes also ;)

I can't put into words how the shoot went!

Pro- communication before the shoot was detailed and clear.

Arrived on time.

His lighting skills are incredible, you can feel the mood through the picture just by how the lighting is set!

Rob knows what he wants and he always reaches his aim without fault! He's happy to also give you direction!

Rob is very talented and knows about photography a lot.

We flowed through our shoot, chatting, laughing, from pose to pose. Rob comes up with some great ideas and his mind is creative and I love how he puts his imagination through the images he takes.

I felt completely relaxed and 100000% comfortable! I highly recommend this gent to anyone and I will be working with him again!

So glad i have had the opportunity to work with Rob for the second time! As a photographer myself i feel really uncomfortable in front of a camera but Rob is extreamly laid back and happy to go at my own pace. He directed me really well and the images he has produced are just what i had hoped for! Cant recommend highly enough!

We came up with a last minute idea and it worked really well.

He helped with direction when needed and found good location spots to use.

If you get the chance to work with Rob in any capacity, JUMP AT IT! 10/10 in every department.

I shot with Rob on 8th and 16th August. He is my favourite photographer to work with, innovative, incredibly creative, so gentlemanly and utterly professional in all instances, and a post production genius.

First Shoot: The Kidnap of Dee.

We worked on a photo set with myself and two other models. Rob allowed much creative input, as well as providing some fantastic ideas which took our concept to the next level.

We shot an intimate erotica set whereby we went to an outdoor location, built our own set, and enacted a scene, which had strong narrative, but also include several shots that were abstract and individually beautiful artistic.

Rob was patient with us getting ready and packing and preparing all the set, and the final shots are just wonderful.

Rob manages to capture a scene, and then develop it post production into a moody, atmospheric photo that really does tell a story.

Second Shoot: Into the Wilderness - Japanese inspired BodyPaint.

Rob organised this shoot with my incredibly talented Sarah Scarer Smith from UK Bodypaint Pro. She is a phenomenal artists, as you can see from the shots.

Rob waited patiently for 7 hours whilst I was painted full body, had my hair styled and then we took some studio shots.

I wanted to go on location, and Rob drove us to an outdoor lake and woodland where we got some incredible shots.

The concept was brilliant, and I can't express fully just how pleased I am with how the day went, how much fun we had, and what wonderful final edits we got from it.

Rob is awesome.

I had the pleasure of working with Rob this morning, he is a lovely and patient person, with lots of ideas. Rob was able to give me direction when needed and was able to come up with a plan B when there was too many people around. We were able to get some great shots and I can't wait to see the rest. I would highly recommend Rob! Hopefully we can shoot again at some point :)

I had a brilliant shoot with Digital-mechanic today at the Pit Studio. He was very professional and friendly throughout the whole shoot and i would absolutely recommend him to anyone.

It can be a bit odd going to a studio day and shooting with a photographer you haven't really talked to before but we got on great and produced some really strong images.

Happy to say we will be working together again after such a successful shoot today :)

It's my second shoot with digital mechanic and it was of course a pleasure, laid back and professional even in a room like a sauna!! Very talented photographer and so easy to get along with and also very understanding ,if you get the chance to shoot with him do it! Look forward to the next one when we get the gears in motion!
