Halo Haynes

Another wonderful shoot with John, this time at Michael Lau studio in Nottingham.

We got through many sets in the time (7 I believe) with a real variation of looks, using natural light and available studio lighting.

John was happy to get down on the floor to get the right angles, give direction where needed and let me flow through poses also. He’s always a pleasure to work with and considerate and professional.

The images I saw on the back of the camera looked lovely and I would thoroughly recommend him!

This was the first time John has visited my studio, and hopefully won't be the last. Communications were spot on and when I had a hitch in my calendar, he and Halo Haynes (the model) were both accommodating and very gracious about it.

John is a proper gentleman and fun to work with. And from what I saw on the day, an excellent photographer.

Highly recommended.

Had a lovely first shoot on Tuesday with John at Image Red Studio.

Amazing pre communication. Everything was discussed prior and well organized so that was very easy for me to reach the studio and to know what to bring/expect.

I enjoyed lots my shoot with John. Very easy to work with. We went through different set and style, trying different lights and background. I had great time and laughs.

John is professional, creative, lovely and kind man. He was giving me great directions when needed and I think we got some great shots, can’t wait to see the edits.

I would recommend to work with John to any models and creative. Hopefully we will be working together again sometime in the near future.

Halo Haynes

I had the pleasure of meeting John and his lovely family for an underwater shoot at Tankspace.

Whilst they hadn’t done anything like this before, they all picked it up so quickly and I am thrilled with the previews I have seen.

John was very easy to work with on set, giving suggestions where necessary but also allowing us to flow through different ideas and poses. He had a good idea of what concepts he wanted and we even ended up doing one concept we’d never done before, which was great fun!

A wonderful experience and somebody that I hope to work with again in the future!

I had a bluebell woodland photoshoot with John a couple of days ago as he remembered I knew a bluebell woodland location locally to me so he travelled my way for the shoot and we also went to another location near by as well to get lots of variety from the day.

John is very organised and we spoke on the phone the day before the shoot as well to go over our plans.

John isn't a trigger happy shooter at all and prefers to take a thought out photo. He was happy to hear my suggestions and we were able to bounce ideas around.

We had a good laugh as there were so many rabbit holes in the bluebell woods we were sure one of us was going to end up falling down one!

We took a pack lunch to sit down for lunch and had a hot drink from the cafe at one of the locations before heading to the woodland.

All in all a lovely shoot and I would happily work with John again.

I worked with John yesterday at The Retreat Outpost in Stroud for the first time.

John has been planning this shoot for a couple months now and he has put a lot of time into organising everything which I am very grateful for.

John is lovely person to work with, very kind, considerate and professional.

We did a variety of different sets in then location, I got to pose with a horse, cool motorbike and the beautiful surrounding of the location, wonderful day we had :).

I had another great shoot with John at Image Red Studio, this time experimenting with a projector which resulted in really fun and interesting images! We also tried some emotive portraits which worked very well, plus some fashion and art nude.

John was friendly, considerate, professional and very well prepared throughout, and also brought me a sandwich again too to eat on our break too which is kind. Happily recommended.

I had a lovely shoot with John today! He arrived to the shoot on time, and was well prepared with ideas of what we were going to try to create with our time at the studio.

He is a very respectful gentleman, and lovely to work with! Throughout the shoot, he allowed me to see the back of camera shots, so that he knew I was happy with what we were shooting and so that I could work on making my posing the best it could be.

I love shooting with John, and definitely recommend him to anyone!

I had a brilliant first shoot with John the other week at image Red. Johns pre comms are so good. He planned the entire shoot and was full of ideas. He made sure the studio was warm and I was happy the entire time, we had little breaks and chatted lots. I would recommend John to all models, he's a great guy and I loved working with him.

I had a wonderful shoot with John at Image Red. His communications were great with a detailed list of clothing to bring. The shoot was fairly planned but he was open to ideas and adapted to the light situation. John was a lovely company and allowed me plenty of tea and warm-up breaks, I felt comfortable throughout. When we moved over to the studio space Brain helped us with some shots and John was great and captured some brilliant images. Thank you for a lovely shoot. Jessica x

It is always a pleasure working with John! It was fab to work with him again at our studio yesterday! John is always so friendly, considerate and a joy to talk to. John shows his talent of composing stunning images and has such wonderful attention to detail! His creativity and technical knowledge shines through, his results never disappoint! It was also nice seeing John work alongside others, assisting and guiding them and constantly coming up with new ideas! It was an extremely pleasurable shoot and I couldn't recommend John enough! I am very much looking forward to seeing the finalised images!

What a truly fantastic shoot I have had with John! It was out second shoot, and even more enjoyable than the first.

John's pre-shoot communication are literally impeccable - he listed EXACTLY what it was he wanted to shoot, and gave me clear instructions on what to bring with me (so of course, I took a little more!). John was early to the studio as well!

All in all we shot for a 3 hours, through a range of themes. John's direction is very clear, and he explains his creative thought very well, showing my images on the back of the camera regularly to explain his thought pattern and to help me understand what he was after. He is more than happy to share ideas and take opinions on board with regards to lighting, styling and sets as well, which is so refreshing - really makes it feel like a team effort.

I can't wait to see what images John likes the most, and I look forward to hopefully working with him again!

Had a shoot with John a couple of weeks back and I was not disappointed! Pre comms were excellent and he knew exactly what he wanted from our shoot together, meaning we was never shy of ideas.

He met me at the station, where I was pleasantly greeted and we made our way to the studio. Although we didn’t manage to get outside on location due to weather, we made sure we made up for it with studio time.

We managed to capture lots of amazing images, from several sets of outfit changes and light set ups. John is professional, as well as a pleasure to be around.

I would definitely recommend to any model looking to create some 10/10 images. It really was a pleasure to work with you John.

I had my second shoot with John. Pre shoot comms were great like before I knew what to expect and bring along to the shoot.

John was polite and friendly throughout the shoot. Making sure I was ok and comfortable at all times.

As before I’ve really enjoyed my shoot with John, he’s happy to accept I put from models and together we created some beautiful images.
