A graduate of St Martin’s, London, I live and paint in Devon - on the edge of Dartmoor. My practice resonates with classic traditions of figurative art - using the female nude and landscape - whilst retaining a modern approach that is both authentic to the subject matter and grounded in contemporary mark making. 

I had a career in the fashion industry for many years as an art director and designer, working at the top end with beauty clients all over the world. I had a great time, but sold my agency a few years ago in order to follow my love of art.

LEVELS

When I paint figures I look for the natural beauty of the individual, the lines, textures and emotion. My paintings are honest and I love working with people who can bring their perspective to a project - it'a always a collaboration. My levels range from Fashion through to Art Nude and normally involve a photographic session of a few hours which provides material for developing paintings at a later date. I do not do adult work.

PAYMENT

I pay for my models in line with RAM rates (or by negotiation) and cover travel expenses. If I'm helping you build a portfolio then I work TFP (in exchange for digital files of the reference photos or finished paintings).

MY WORK

I've been a prize winner in a number of art competitions including the South West Academy Summer Show 2014 and exhibited in various galleries from London to Scotland and Portugal. Current available work can be seen on my website [link removed].
