Hi, Call me Derek.

I am a published photographer mainly working in the NYC, and New Jersey areas.  

2020, as its has been for all of us, was a whirlwind.  It allowed for me to focus time on my craft and not have as much going on as I realized I was literally and quite figuratively "doing too much".  

Once I sat down a bit and recused my energy I started to focus more on editing and began submitting to magazines and publications.  To my surprise I was not only featured on two covers but published in TEN over the span of THREE months.  Then as a shock, I got my first FPI here on PP.  (yay)

This all goes to show, that you can do whatever you put your mind to.  Never let the self doubt you may have cause you to not go for your goals or keep pushing.  The ability is there, you just need to believe in yourself.
