Hello!

I'm Dean, a 27-year-old Traditional Artist and Photographer, and my main ongoing goal is creating works of art from my own photography.

 

I am looking for models to work with, so please see my portfolio for reference of my Artwork and Photography style, and if you would like to work together on a photoshoot, I would love to hear from you!

I primarily focus on portraiture and figurative artwork and photography, often involving scenic backgrounds such as nature. I take photos through the eye of an artist and by what I can envision would later create a great painting. I paint from photographs, so I can take as long as I need to finish a painting.

As an Artist, I work in the following mediums: Pastel, Oil Paint, Graphite, and Mixed Media. I have over a decade of experience in creating art, and have been doing photography since 2023.

For my photography, I have worked with several models across different cities. My photoshoots usually consist of an initial theme, followed by a few hours of time improvising around both planned and unplanned places and venues. Even if I have an initial plan in mind, I love to hear any ideas and creativity from the person/people I am working with, to create a photoshoot experience that we both enjoy.

I am often happy to travel to new places and cities to work with models, if necessary/preferred.

 

I am also open to other creative collaborations; for example I have recently collaborated with a poet, who wrote a poem specially for one of my paintings. I then in-turn wrote a song based on their poem, by respectfully adapting their words and creating a song with a mood that matched the tone of their poem. I featured this song on a time-lapse video that I created to show the art process of that particular painting.
