Welcome to my portfolio.
ME I am an experienced and published photographer based in north Essex but I am able and willing to travel. I am happy to shoot in a studio or on location, and I have my own portable three lamp studio light set up so I can do home shoots.
I am the founder of the Essex Creatives Social Group.
MY STYLE As you will see from my portfolio - black and white is my 'thing'. I love the tonal range, the use of shadow and light to create shape and form. I like a slightly edgy, moody high contrast feel to my images, rather than a soft edged images - although I am happy to dabble in the latter.
The images below are principally my published work, plus others from recent shoots. The folders contain images going back several years and are not a reflection of my current work or the improvement that I have made. You are welcome to take a look, but please be aware that there are images that are not safe for the workplace.
OUR SHOOT Every shoot I undertake is thoroughly planned around a specific theme and I will tend to plan with a model in mind - chosen to fit the theme. I do not just turn up and ask what are we doing. Don't be put off by that - if you would like to work with me, get in touch and I'll see what I can come up with just for you. Collaboration is the key to a successful shoot - and I like to discuss and include your own ideas.
CHAPERONES: Model safety is very important to me, so if you want to bring a chaperone, that is fine - although I would ask that it is not your significant other. They should be proficient at tea/coffee making and holding bits of photographic equipment!
