You just can't not like Jakob, he is an amazing guy with a heart made of gold. And I am not kidding! He loves what he does and you can see it from the way he works on the photoshoots. He and his lovely wife Dasha create a top team people everyone would love to work with. Highly professional, very polite and so so funny! I really enjoyed working with Jakob on his photoshoots and hope there will be more!

I modelled for Jakob, during light demos both at the SWPP in January and at the Photography Show at the NEC in March. Although we had a few ideas surrounding what we wanted to shoot, we were both very flexible in our approach due to the nature of lighting demos, people asking questions, changing light set ups according to what people wanted to know etc! Jakob is an absolute master of light, shooting tethered helped us get 'that shot', and he was very patient with the perfectionist side of me making suggestions/and either taking my suggestions on or explaining why they wouldn't work. I cannot recommend Jakob highly enough, his knowledge of lighting makes for a highly productive enjoyable shoot, in a short space of time! If you get the opportunity to shoot with Danish Apple photography, grab it with both hands! :)

I had a really awesome and creative shoot with Jakob today. We discussed a three-part Cinderella-inspired theme in pre comms, which I was excited to be a part of - any excuse to dress up in ball gowns for a day! Jakob was very warm and welcoming, supplied me with lots of food and tea, and we created some beautiful images. Jakob is a real lighting perfectionist but was wonderfully laid-back and a great laugh too. Highly recommended and I look forward to next time.

Worked with Jakob for the first time last week and what a pleasure! Jakob is super friendly, really personally involved in what he does which is great and we captured some stunning shots.
