Dan Conyers

Im studying a course in studio photography so Im interested in experimenting with what I'm learning - trying different lighting set-ups, hair and make-up styles and shoot themes. My main interest at the moment is the contrast between background lighting and the model's wardrobe / make-up. I like the fashion portraiture of Irving Penn, the street photography and light-play of Fan Ho and the travel photography of Steve McCurry. Every photoshoot is a learning experience, and I enjoy trying new things, which sometimes works and...sometimes doesn’t. Mastering the art is the goal, but creating memorable images along the way provides me the enjoyment and the motivation to keep progressing.
