Like a lot of arty "East End" boys I fell into Photography around the fifth year at School. I remember the first time I saw a black and white print in the developer. Watching the image appear before my eyes... Wow! I soon paired up with a buddy from school and on and off we have been shooting together since.

During the late eighties, early nineties I assisted around 25 London photographers and learned an amazing amount. Of course, working with Gered Mankowitz, as a first assistant was the highlight of my "assisting" career. Went everywhere, met everyone and Gered is the real thing! You can't learn the stuff he taught me by going to college, full stop. A nicer geeza you will not meet!

The nineties saw me branching out on my own working for the railway, recording the listed buildings nationwide... What a privilege.
I was also assisting on a limited basis at the time. So, a typical week saw me at the Twerton Tunnel Entrance on the Great Western Railway and on the beach applying sun tan lotion to a stunning model, followed by spending a weekend at a petrol station in Florida shooting Nigel Mansell!
Not 9 to 5 then?
