Updating my Bio now that I have worked with enough models and have more clarity on why and what.

While I have always liked taking pictures and have always had a camera growing up, I lack artistic skills and don't view myself as a real photographer.  It is more about documenting memories and telling stories.  The subject went from mostly buildings, airplanes and travel to street events and real people.

Now in the "go-go" years of early retirement, this is a way to push me to travel and meet people.  I don't take it too seriously and don't aim to become a real photographer.  I have been very lucky to collaborate with and learn from some great guys who are gracious enough to work with me and are in this to create.

Since I usually do this at my hotel room when I travel, there are unknowns with light and space.  That is part of the fun.  I don't go into a session with any specific plans - I let the model lead.  My job in the collaboration is to make sure we get some usable pictures and get them to the models quickly.  We decide jointly what goes out there / here.

Post-processing is more difficult since there are too many options now and I have not had the time to learn the complicated software and technique.  The initial round of images are lightly-edited and I welcome the model to modify them the way they see fit.  I think in my "no-go" retirement years or when AI gets better, the images might get a second lease on life.
