References for Chester Studio

I had spoken to Colin at Chester Studios a couple of times about working with him as a model for some of his future sculpture work and I am so glad that we made it happen!!

All pre comms with Colin were fine and he provided me with all the information I needed, as well as directions to his studio etc.

When I arrived at Colin's studio I was absolutely blown away by the beauty of his location!!! The studio is based next to his family home, and is surrounded by acres of land in the most idyllic spot next to an old water mill. There are an abundance of animals to meet including dogs, horses and donkeys!!

Colin was warm and welcoming from the start, with a cuppa tea on offer and a tour of the property / studio. The studio itself is warm and comfortable and it is clear how much Colins work means to him with many fantastic examples of his previous designs and commissions. Colin needed to photograph me in various nude poses to enable him to use these for inspiration for his next sculptures. Throughout this he provided me with plenty of direction and rest as required. He was always respectful of me.

After we had worked together I was privileged to meet his lovely daughter who is also an incredible artist. I was thrilled to be her model for a drawing and needless to say, she is also very talented and it is no surprise she has just spent 3 months in Florence learning about her art.

All in all a fantastic experience working with Colin and I would be happy to highly reccomend him!! I look forward to being back again soon and seeing the results!! Thanks Colin!!

I really enjoyed working with Colin for the first time. He was so welcoming, very professional, and super easy to get along with.

His studio is such a wonderful creative space, and I knew it'd be an enjoyable couple of hours from the moment I arrived. Snippets of his previous sculpture work were dotted around the room we worked in, and he also showed me his workshop, and it was honestly such an inspiring environment to be in. I'm in awe of his skill and the sheer detail that goes into his work.

For my first time posing for sculpture reference images, it was a great experience, and I was made to feel very comfortable throughout. It was a breeze to work with someone so creative.

I'd highly recommend working with Colin if you get the chance, and can't wait until our next session.

Had the lovely pleasure of meeting Colin and his Daughter today! Modelling for a sculpture at his home studio.

Colin was a breeze to create with. Very accommodating and above all, treated me with the highest level of respect.

He has some very inspirational work with his sculptures, some of which I have already admired before ever speaking or meeting with him! A true artist.

I would highly recommend working with him.
