I’ve known Chanel for sometime since working with the Pinup Academy so it was fanatastic to have the lady herself come along to assist with a pinup tutorial day at the Studio. An instant hit with the attendees and not surprising! This lady is a classic pinup beauty. Pure class.

Attended a 1940’s themed shoot organised by Howgre with Chanel.

Chanel Rouge arrived on time with her make-up expertly applied with a great outfit in keeping with the theme.

I agree 100% with the comments Howgre made in his reference for Chanel “Pleasant, attractive, beautifully groomed, with near flawless skin requiring minimal (if any) editing, punctual, and fully understanding of the period”.

A very enjoyable shoot producing images I’m very happy with. Thank you Chanel for joining us on our station-hoping journey. Highly recommended.

My experience with Chanel started with a casting call by a different model looking for a train themed shoot. That gave rise to the germ of an idea. I hadn't been to the East Lancs Railway wartime weekend for 10 years. Responding to the model, somehow, communication died out in mid exchange.

The more I thought about this event, the more it made sense to go to it with my own model. But who? PP has a number of ways of finding a model, but the simplest was to do a search with a number of restrictions. The primary requirement was that they could dress and look the part from a war ravaged Britain, whilst still making the most of what they had.

Firing off 3 emails to local(ish) models, Chanel was the only one to respond. But at that point, she was the only one I wanted to respond. I hadn't realised that not only had I previously viewed her portfolio, but admired some of her pictures to the point where I felt inclined to comment favourably on them.

Very little pre-comms. I explained what I wanted and about the event. She said she understood, and would send me a pic of a suitable outfit. Since I've no idea of what ladies wore in wartime '40s, this was a little superfluous, but it's better to be well informed, than have your model turn up looking like "Rosie the Riveter"

Well, she turns up, pretty much to the second, looking even better than I'd expected. Ian M and I were both thrilled. Absolutely perfectly dressed, made up and coiffed, although the wind on the day played havoc with her hair.

With tickets that enabled us to run up and down the line and thus change location, it was a fun (if tiring) day for the three of us.

Our choice of model was reinforced wherever we went, with groups of photographers seeing what we were up to, and grabbing their own shots of Chanel. If you look at the shots taken on the day, I was so amused by one photographers chutzpah that I decided to shoot her shooting Chanel. And if she gets a FPI and I don't, I'll shoot her for real.

Pleasant, attractive, beautifully groomed, with near flawless skin requiring minimal (if any) editing, punctual, and fully understanding of the period.

I'd heartily recommend Chanel Rouge.
