Hi there my name is Carmen Carvalho and I was born in Guildford, Surrey. At 9 years old, I went to live in Johannesburg in South Africa. This has had a profound impact on my life and the way in which I view things. completed my education in England and thereafter returned to live in South Africa as a 20-year-old. I returned to England back in 2003 after spending a brief 13 months living in Israel. 

I am generally never without a camera around my neck and a pair of binoculars is always at hand as I am an avid bird watcher. Bird photography is one of my greatest interests, but I also enjoy portrait and landscape photography, photographing the desert is a particular interest of mine. 

My interest in modelling started off as a dare whilst having a video call conversation with a dear friend of mine. They simply loved the beautiful original yellow retro Formica kitchen table I was sitting on and suggested that I could actually use the table as a prop to start off a modelling career!  Little did my friend realise that I actually took her dare seriously...! 

This suggestion actually kick-started me into looking at taking my love of the camera to actually putting myself in front of the lens. What originally started off as a dare then unfolded into somethings that I now really enjoy whether it's fashion, lingerie or more natural modelling. 

I fall in the mature model category but don’t let that fool you because that makes me committed and reliable.

I am bohemian at heart apart from I have no pubic hair but that’s what you get if you shoot with me.

Nudity is no issue, and I am comfortable in my skin and happy to work up to frontal art nude and maybe erotic but don’t cross the porn line with me. I only want paid work for this unless I message you personally 

My ethic is classy and bold nudity not crass glamour, fetish or porn and I know when I find a level pusher or G.W.C and I am uninhibited and liberal generally.

Makeup is not my thing but I wear natural as my badge and I’m good at it and have an unruly wild mane of hair which is an asset and although not well endowed in the boob department I’m shapely and have the pointy bits which look good.

My skin is fairly clear and I look young for my age I think.

I am lean and long and look tall in images, wearing lingerie myself isn't really my personal thing, but I'm happy to shoot if asked, not interested in fetish so don’t ask. I guess I am a fashion or nude kind of girl at heart.

 

Rates:
I am happy to shoot: Fashion. Glamour & Lingerie, Art Nude & Erotic Art.
My hourly rate is £50 Ph and a minimum 3 hours in all instances.                                                                                                      

If shooting 4 hours I will expect at least one substantial break of at least 15 to 30 minutes at your expense included. 

This does include shooting at the fabulous location I live in with a largely secluded garden. I always look after my photographers so if we are shooting from my home tea & coffee is provided, please pre-advise any dietary allergies, it always helps ! 

Should you have any specific mani/pedi for a shoot that would put me out of pocket, this would need to be prepaid upfront by the photographer at the time of confirming the photo shoot booking.

Travel is 45p a mile over ten miles if I go any distance and I prefer you to shoot at mine easy for us all.

I come well prepared if I travel and will expect expenses up front in advance if any distance.

I have a limited but chic wardrobe and don’t own a bikini because my husband (Ex) wouldn’t let me buy it and I decided that my protest was to wear nothing instead. It's rather freeing.

I will only leave a ref once happy with any shoot as this is my leverage and after image delivery if that’s the deal. 

I try hard to stay on top of messages and my responses to communications are prompt, but sometimes less techy.

I have a number of allies on PP looking out for my interests so please don’t think because I’m new I am easy to manipulate and I will report anything I deem inappropriate behaviour.
