Hello.  I was on PP a few years ago as Wyrd Images, then unemployment and depression kind of overwhelmed everything.  I came back for a bit then dropped out again when my interests changed (they do that a lot).  About an hour ago, an email came from PurplePort suggesting I update my gallery and thought, "why don't I reopen my old PurplePort account?".

So in the interests of improving my mental health by attempting to return to something I enjoyed doing in the past, and possibly getting out a bit more, I'm coming back.  One day I may even be able to afford some decent gear...

Stuff you might be interested in: I mostly shoot at gigs, trying to capture that elusive moment.  When it happens, it's like a lightning bolt and you know you've got a good shot.  Shooting with models is something new for me, but I tend to just ask them to do their thing and I'll grab some shots when it feels right.  The best art is collaborative, with everyone and everything working together to trap lightning in a bottle, and that's what I try to achieve when taking photos.

Sometimes I do it.  That shot of Brother Pain (now ex-Evil Scarecrow) is one of those lightning strikes (although I had to apply a little polish to make it stand out).

So who fancies having a shot at catching some lightning?

Warning: I'm currently shooting with my phone (Google Pixel 6a) at the moment.  Not sure if my old Canon still works.  It's been a long time and the batteries have probably rotted.  If I get into this again, I may get myself a new camera.

I've also done a little modelling in the past (both clothed and nude), so I'd be up for that as trade or paid.  So long as it's fun.
