Captain Falling

Hi there!

I am Dani, I go by Captain Falling online across all of my social media. I have been modelling on and off for a few years, starting back when I was studying photography in university. I had quite a few years off and had to take time to adjust to my new lifestyle after becoming disabled. I am very excited to be back and am looking forward to creating some awesome pieces with you fine folks!

I am slowly working on filling out my profile so please bear with me!

 

Important information

Some important things to know about when looking to book with me, I am disabled, I get around using crutches and a wheelchair. I can stand and move around for periods of time during shoots but will need to rest when my legs and arms wear out. The nature of my disability means I have to plan in advance for shoots so that I can be fully ready and able to bring my best, sadly this means I can't accept short notice bookings. Along a similar vein I am also unable to drive and have to use either public transport or a taxi, this limits where and how often I am able to work because of costs involved. In theory I should be able to do most of london depending on notice and times but anything further afield is likely to be turned down.

 

Experience

I have a fair amount of experience with modelling in various degrees. I have always set up my own home studios when I was younger, I am also into cosplay which comes with a lot of time in front of a camera. I got a lot more experience with more traditional studio work whilst I was studying photography at university. Since then I have done a lot of self portrait work, and worked with a range of different photographers spanning a lot of different styles and I am comfortable in front of the camera.

A more personal about me

This little section is just a more informal "about me" to tell you some more about my passions and experience with relevant things. I first got into modelling as a serious hobby when I was working on a project with Adobe and the British Museum to create a series of pieces exploring Arabic calligraphy and it's relationship with the human body. I ended up modelling for a lot of my own work due to budget constraints, seeing the final images and video opened me up to being on the other side of the camera and I began to dabble with modelling. I developed acute peripheral neuropathy and my mobility became limited very soon after due to the damage to my nerves, travel was severely limited so I switched to more active ways of being in front of the camera. I worked as a webcam model for a little while, eventually I began to stream on Twitch and upload youtube videos which I have been doing ever since.

Obviously any decent portfolio is a work in progress and this one is no different, I will revise and improve this over time!
