I've worked at The Camera Club twice this year over different tours in London and found it to be a thoroughly enjoyable experience both times!
Easy to find with a tube station nearby, with friendly receptionists, spacious studios and my own changing area fully equipped with clothing rails, mirrors and a toilet, I found it to be a wonderfully accommodating area!
I'd be happy to return and have no hesitation in recommending it to other creatives 😊

I was a member for several years when I was working near London, and the Camera Club represented absolutely the best possible value in studios: well worth the membership.
Courses and events made it even better value.
Spacious, always clean and warm, and with excellent facilities. The only reason I'm not still a member is that I live in the Midlands, and have rarely visited London in the last decade or so.
And so, if you live anywhere near it - join!

I had a very enjoyable shoot recently at The Camera Club. I felt comfortable there straight away. The receptionist recognised me and made me feel welcome. The area where I was working was a beautiful natural light space with a skylight. I had my own changing area, with a rail to hang my clothes, a big makeup mirror, and, most importantly, I was warm enough the entire time. I would consider The Camera Club a good option for myself as both a model and a photographer and would love to shoot there again. I would recommend it to others.

The Camera Club is a community of Photographers who are interested in all aspects of photography. I have been a member for many years, and use the excellent facilities to pursue my passion for photography. Members run workshops and lectures on any aspect which might interest the other members, including studio and darkroom sessions, and outside events in and around London. The studio and darkroom facilities are excellent, and there is always someone on hand who may be able to provide advice if needed. Don't be mislead by the limited number of references. The club has been around for over 125 years, but has only recently joined the PurplePort community.

This is the first studio ive been in around London! I was lucky enough to shoot here from a booking with a photographer. It's so close to the centre and so easy to find. The studio is fairly big and as got so much to play around with... The equipment and lighting is amazing. This will not be my last shoot here... Cannot wait to go back :)

The Camera Club is my studio of choice in London. With studio hire costing less than half of any other studio, The Camera Club is an obvious choice. With a mix of Pro, semi-pro and enthusiastic amateur photographers, The Camera Club provides a great environment to shoot, develop or edit in an atmosphere of great bonhomie. The workshops are excellent and the regular exhibitions provide thoughtful, challenging and generally excellent work. Am I a fan? Er... yes!

The facilities allow the use of natural light through windows and the skylight plus the studio strobes. The darkrooms have allowed me to keep my connection to film to provide a unique look to prints in this digital age.
