Chris recently booked me for a last minute workshop for the RPS in Lacock to fill for a model who unfortunately couldn't attend at short notice.

It was so lovely to catch up with Chris- the last time we worked together it must have been before the pandemic!

Chris is an absolute gentleman, a master of lighting and such a fantastic teacher. Chris really sets the standard high for organising workshops and is professional, thorough and a tremendous communicator. The workshops are very well paced, extremely enjoyable for the model and very respectful.

I really enjoyed modelling for the group. Thank you to Chris and Terry for hosting me (Terry is Chris' wonderful lighting assistant whom I shared much humour with on the day! :) )

Wow! Chris asked me to model for the Royal Photographic Society's Art Nude Lighting Workshop that he runs - and I had such a wonderful day!

Chris' knowledge of lighting is unlike anything I've experienced and he helped his delegates get the most beautiful art nude shots - with the help of his amazing assistant Terry.

It was a real privilege to be part of such a professional fine art nude event - and I am so delighted that Chris has booked me for the next two.

I was very well looked after and the venue was superb - I highly recommend booking on one of these workshops, you won't regret it as the knowledge you will take away will ensure you get a very high standard of art nude photographic in a range of different lighting set-ups from low key to high key and silhouette.

Can't wait for the next one on the 23rd July!

I modelled for one of Chris's workshops yesterday and had a fantastic day. Everything was really well organised, the atmosphere was relaxed and Chris really looked after me and the photographers attending the workshop. There were plenty of breaks, tea and biscuits and lovely people to chat with. The location was also absolutely stunning. I even learned lots about lighting and different setups. I really can't recommend Chris and all the photographers on this workshop highly enough.

I attended Chris's RPS Art Nude workshop at Lacock yesterday. It was a great introduction to various styles of lighting used in art nude photography, including low key and high key, with variations such as rim lighting and silhouettes.

Chris was friendly and knowledgeable and explained very well what he was doing and why as he set up the lights for each style, rather than just presenting the attendees with lighting setups created while they weren't looking!

Tea/coffee and biscuits were in plentiful supply, and Lacock is a beautiful village to wander around during the lunch break in the 7-hour day.

I thoroughly recommend Chris and his workshops, and hope to attend more in the future.

I worked with Chris again recently on a workshop with the RPS in Lacock and had a really enjoyable day! :)

Chris is a fantastic tutor, very organised, professional, respectful and a very clear communicator. I always go away from workshops having learnt something from the other side of the lens which is a major bonus for me! :)

The group were very respectful and expertly coordinated by Chris throughout. The lighting set ups were superb and very flattering. I loved many images taken from the session.

Highly recommended to all and look forward to seeing you in April!

I recently worked with Chris who very kindly booked me for a RPS event in Lacock to model for a large group of photographers on a Art Nude workshop he was hosting.

It was my first time working with Chris and the group and I was a little nervous but from the offset Chris was so kind, respectful and professional to work with. Communication was first class and everything organised perfectly.

I was looked after extremely well with plenty of breaks. It was a fantastic workshop; Informative, with great theory and practical input and in a beautiful, relaxed setting. Everyone was so welcoming, friendly and respectful to work with. I had such a lovely day and my only wish is that all workshops were run so smoothly and professionally as this was! :) Chris is a great teacher and organiser.

I would highly recommend Chris and really do hope we get the chance to work together again! Thanks so much Chris, until the next time! Helen x

I have done two workshops with Chris on portrait photography and artistic nude. Loved every minute of them and learned so much. Chris is a first class teacher, patient, helpful and extremely knowledgeable. A top class photographer too. I'm hoping to do another workshop in the summer on advanced lighting with Chris and Steve Haddon as well.

I have done a couple of course with Chris and I have learnt so much. He is professional and patient and helps in anyway he can. During his courses there is always friendly banter. His courses are followed up with a very friendly Facebook group and so the learning continues. His courses are well worth doing and I would thoroughly recommend him.

I have attended quite a few courses run by Chris Burfoot (and have just booked to do another one!) Why? Because he is the best! Extremely knowledgeable and a great teacher, his courses are both fun & educational. If you want to improve your lighting techniques then get on one (or more!) of Chris's courses! And when you have done one of his courses you can join his Facebook group for ongoing help & advice. Absolutely recommended!
