I am a former maths teacher, and I have discovered the joy of painting. I love painting portraits, and as I mainly work with oils, it can take a few weeks to complete a picture. Occasionally, I use pastels, pencil or charcoal, and I also enjoy painting trains and street scenes.

I generally work from photos, but I enjoy the challenge of painting a portrait from a live model. I am happy to receive requests for particular pictures, and as I am in the fortunate position of not having to charge a fee, I ask satisfied 'customers' to donate to the charity WaterAid.

I am based in Bradford, West Yorkshire.
