Having recently emerged from lockdown and dipping my toes into shooting again (shooting, what’s that? :P) I couldn’t think of a better person to enjoy a fabulous afternoon with on a shoot that would guarantee laid-back atmosphere, cutesie-nice pictures and a whole load of well-overdue chatter. I’ve said it before (countless times) and I’ll say it again! David is a delight!

It was a strange time being back working and having to tread as carefully as possible to abide by all the rules etc. and be safe: but between us - we nailed it. :) David was really understanding and suggested a plan to meet up and travel to the location in separate cars, he also selected a fabulous site for us to work in which allowed a huge amount of creative scope, combined with the ability to do all the social distancing thing and not meet too many other people on the way. He seriously knows all the best places to shoot whether studio or public site so whenever he pops up in my inbox talking of a new place for us to go - I’m just like “YESSS!”

This site consisted of trees, roots and avenues galore... Perfect for artsy nakedness and that signature “glamorous fashion” that David brings to the brief - along with all the killer outfits, accessories and props to go with of course! :P One day I will learn that I really do not need to be chucking my big suitcase in the boot when going to work with David - HE HAS IT COVERED TO THE FINEST ALREADY KEIRA! :P He will of course say if there’s something specific you need to bring, but he’s truly invested in his work with all the passion in the world. And the same goes for his outfit selection. I only come to try on the beautiful dresses haha! (He knows that’s not the case!)

So yes: we were on a roll once again utilising this location to the maximum and working with epic “togetherness” in suggesting ideas around the place. David sent me some images through after the shoot (as he normally kindly does once he’s worked through them) and he honestly got some stunnahs! This guy just throws himself right in the mix of it and accepts to obstacles... He’s getting that angle, or he’s working around the light - and the outcome just shows it!

The kindest, most gracious and sweet-natured gentleman in the solar system... No - universe in fact! When you read through my past references you’ll see me saying this again and again - but it’s true! He’s just such a sublime character with a heart to big for his chest, a wicked sense of humour (just what the doctor ordered in coming out of the darkness of lockdown) and the most caring aptitude. Betcha every other one of these models would say the same thing about his personality. He’s a good un’ for sure. :) I always feel safe and happy working with David - and that will be the case for shoots to come.

So it turns out that 1 shoot in the space of a few weeks was not enough... So we crammed another one in down David’s neck of the woods with waterfalls on the agenda!!! ♥

David has superb knowledge of good locations near him (see my last reference about the other place we went to recently) so when he said we had another killer beauty spot to smash, I was like: say no more! What day/time and I’ll be there!!! :P Now unfortunately, due to the whole pandemic and people flooding out and crowding at these usually quiet places... The spot we had in mind was closed off. :’( It was the same with a lovely waterfall near me (one that David and I have shot at in fact) as the sites had received crazy amounts of visitors and possibly problems arising? But you know what - that doesn’t matter! Because this genius is never short of tricks up his sleeve. :P We’d picked a bright and early time to start working, so off we went to another patch which allowed us to just dodge the crowds (the started arriving as we left!) and it wasn’t even the ‘less good’ back up plan in my opinion because the images we got were killer! I just needed one look at the water gushing over huge rocks and rapids and I was happy as can be and already eager to start posing away!

As per each and every occasion in the past: David was phenomenally well prepared! He brought a vivid selection of props/outfits as he usually does and the scene was there waiting for the magic to happen. Some of the shots looked like something out of a movie scene! No joke! We chatted and planned what we were going to do before I scampered off as once there it was much for difficult to communicate with the distance and sound of the water overriding everything. But a few shapes and expressions later - David would signal the “thumbs up” and the piccies were in the bag! Bloomin’ spectacular. :D Again: this gent took on all the usual tests of shooting on location and just lets nothing at all stop him! He’s like a warrior when he gets going (even though it was me waving the sword around!) :P

Oh we had a cracking day... The routine good ole’ chats/laughs and bouncing off each other with a tremendous working rapport. We smash it in the picture department all the time, but the social value from shooting with David is literally worth it’s weight in gold! He’s the nicest man in the planet, a heart heavier than lead yet forged from gold... The sheer courtesy he has for his models is not disputable. He’s on-pointe with it all. :)

We did it again!!!!!

Another killer shoot - another set of beautifully elegant pictures - another session on non-stop chatter and another tremendous memory in our history of working together! :)

David is just lovely. I could almost stop there because it really does sum him up! But of course I’m going to ramble on further! :D How can I not, that wouldn’t be very “Keira” of me for a start...

So we’d chatted before now about fixing an opportunity to shoot at the phenomenal place that is Two Wei location house - somewhere I’d heard only good things about, and with it being quite local to David he really sung highly of it. And his recommendation I would very much value anyway. :) So we made it happen! And what an epic explosion of fabulous creativity it was hehe... I mentioned earlier about the elegant images - but to be fair (on top of those kind of images which are very much David’s signature) we also did edgy-as-can-be shots in the cellar with fantasy vampire vibes! Goodness we pushed that boat out like crazy this time didn’t we! But that is simply what happens when you shoot with David: he’s a bloomin’ genius quite frankly and never ceases to amaze me with the exciting range of ideas he cooks up for his shoots.

Now David being David - he always supply’s lush garments and all the props needed to achieve the look/vision he has. I’m not kidding - glitzy dresses to vampire teeth!!!! I am just conditioned to always bring a case that weighs twice as much as me to shoots - I really don’t know why I haven’t learnt yet that actually David’s supplies are totally on-pointe and there’s no need to wrestle with the case getting it into the car. :P Although if he does ever need a model to bring anything: he communicates so eloquently and covers all ground before the shoot so you can be sure to be well prepped for your shoot together. :)

Our rapport now is one of a kind and we simply fall right into the flow from the word go as a shoot starts. He’s the nicest character on earth, SIGNIFICANTLY relaxed to a point that you wouldn’t believe, fun-natured and just a barrel of joy! The whole combo just makes a working relationship a complete breeze. :) He’s also the most gentle human you could meet on the planet and has buckets upon buckets of respect and courtesy for the models he meets and works with.

So it’s a grand-almighty recommendation from little ole’ me! Yep - another one! :D And May we have many a’ shoot with just as much enjoyment into the future as well.

We made substantially productive use of the various aesthetic set opportunities at the grand indoor and outdoor work areas of Two Wei. But that was to be expected when you’ve got a great mutual bounce in your rapport and a fab choice of venue. :)

What’s that?? Another utterly lovely shoot with this gent? :D We appears to be on quite a roll throughout the year... And I’ve been having a fabulous time working with him in all the different location situations that we’ve taken on. The inspiration has just kept coming!

David puts a huge amount of thought into his shoots - and this goes as far as carefully visualising the place to suit the ideas. He covers all ground to make a shoot as prolific as possible, even when last minute things cause your plans to change: he remains the calm, bubbly and on-the-ball person that he is to make the most out of every shoot. Read on for an insight into the events of this latest shoot.

David planned for us to shoot at a magnificent priory: even when we got there a passer by was saying how lovely a place it was. David knows his stuff and the ingredients that constitute towards a good image. :D However a strange set of circumstances meant that the location (usually open to the public) was mysteriously closed off. One of those bizarre events in life that would still baffle us today if we caught up: but never mind. Because we DID go on to still enjoy a lovely shooting session with this awesome gentleman’s quick-thinking! :) Instead going to a lovely park with photo opportunities spread all around. With a bit of ducking and dodging of spectators and being in our usual teamwork-driven flow... Plus David’s pristine organisation with the concepts to shoot - we nailed it! Plenty o’ laughs, plenty o’ opportunistic pictures and plenty o’ rocking the pretty locations around our “new” location of choice. We had a cracking day! :) In any other situation, it would have been so easy for people to give up and throw in the towel - David’s got the drive and determination that would always turn a situation around positively. I cannot give him enough credit for the day. At the end of the session, we sat in a nearby supermarket car park as David kindly allowed me to do my usual “back of camera” snapping away and we continued to laugh and joke about the antics of the day! :)

Aside from the madness (it is really a shoot without madness though?) David is a fabulous person to work with from a creative insight. He thinks up no-end of ideas for his shoots, from elegant to wacky... ALWAYS supplies a case of goodies and pretty little numbers for the models to wear. Goodness this time he had the props and everything! But whatever, or wherever we happen to shooting at a given time: David puts unspeakable effort into the photography sessions that he’s a part of, which really shows how much he enjoys what he does. He’s got a fabulous eye for the moment from the very styling of the look, the the angles that give the greatest impact. And I would honestly struggle to find a challenge/situation that would test him beyond still taking it on/coming up with a solution with epic enthusiasm. :)

As per usual: I received the highest levels of kind thoughtfulness and respect from this genuinely nice chap. On top of all else, he has a huge heart for others and will strive in every single situation to make those around him feel utterly at ease. Of course it was the standard procedure and we did not stop talking as we worked! :P His lovely sociable nature shines wherever he is, David is absolutely wonderful company.

I had a lovely time shooting with David in December! He was very professional and organized, he brought a few dresses which looked absolutely magnificent and had precise ideas of the shots he wanted to achieve. I would that all his ideas were brilliant and I really appreciated the thought he put into every set and concept, from the settings, light set ups, to the outfits and accessories!

I really enjoyed working with him and i'd love to model for him again!

The high spirit creative being that is Bowtie David strikes again!!! :D This time we managed to get outside again working at a PHENOMENAL location that David had discovered which lays right under my nose in my area yet I hadn’t known about it before now! The kind of place that we could easily go back to and do 100x more what with the combination of creative mindfulness that this gentleman always brings to his shoots... A mad and crazy model plus the scope of the location. This was a very good day indeed! :)

Pre-shoot communications were, as usual, magnificently pristine... We had the date confirmed in a short exchange as we normally do (he really is a star in that sense with how well organised he is!) and David also provides me with the location information he had so that I could look into the best route to the place through all the rat-runs. We kept in touch and the shoot came around in no time at all, David doing his thing doubling up as a very savvy wardrobe stylist too hehe and allocating some more beautiful dresses/garments/accessories and props that would compliment the place beautifully. His ingenious thinking really pushed the boat out and he even came along with smoke bombs!!!!

We’d agreed to meet at my place and go in one car anticipating limited parking and after one heck of an adventure tracking down the best entrance we then found ourselves hiking through squelchy uneven terrain (yep, the waterfall track we’d done earlier in the year clearly was not enough of a challenge for this determined photographer!) with all our stuff where we eventually mad it to the brickworks. Or the start of it as it was huuuugeeee! Hence the notion that we’ll be dragging ourselves back potentially in the future. :P One things for certain though, and that is that this gent needs a blinking trophy for the sheer drive he shows in getting to these photographic beauty spots! He really does not let anything stop him, not even the face echoing concern for him on the models face. We were doing the cheers and high-fives even before we’d started taking pictures haha!

Then the innovation began, David opened up his box of tricks and we farted around, spoilt for choice amid the colours and grit making dazzling photos to our hearts content! :D David is simply a joy to work with; his imaginative involvement and commitment to his photography is so inspiring which makes the whole buzz for the team process more so by miles. And it is ALWAYS a teamwork process working with David. :) I don’t know how he puts up with me running around the place excitedly suggesting this and that barely able to contain myself. But then I already knew he was mad because of wanting to coming and work with me again! :P And it will be happening in the future again too. His eye for an image is something to always write home about, and the effort he injects into every shoot to get the best from the opportunity is truly tremendous.

So OF COURSE I recommend David exceedingly high! :D I mean, not only is he a true blast to team up with on a creative adventure with his endless enthusiasm, but he’s absolutely fabulous company too. :) He possesses a genuinely golden character with goodness radiating in all directions. He is respectful and full of courtesy, but we never fail to have a good old laugh and chit-chat at the same time with joyous banter and social value. Just a wonderful human in so many respects.

What a gentleman David is. So polite and respectful of both model and property. David just oozes kindness and clearly got on with Gems, his model, straight from the start which is no real surprise as he's so easy and interesting to talk to.

I've had the pleasure of working with David for a number of years now and always look forward to our shoots together! David is such a gentleman, very kind and considerate with a gentle nature and a love for photography. For our most recent shoot David drove me to the peak district where we captured some great shots!

It was an early morning start so it was very cold but David was very considerate in suggesting time for me to warm up between sets and ensuring I didn't get too cold or stay nude for too long.

David is a joy to work with and I hope we get to continue the photographic opportunities for many years to come! Always highly recommend by me!

It was an utter pleasure getting to shoot with the lovely David again in such a short space of time after our last shoot. :D But chatting about locations and waterfalls (plus the fact that we had a cracking time working on location at Wortley Forge) the deal was done really; we had booked this shoot in before we’d even parted ways on the last! And I was very much looking forward to it!

This time we embarked on a little adventure into the valley not far from me where we had two stunning falls to play with as well as rapids and a big pool. So a huge amount of scope in just a few square meters. :) Although the track down was steep, narrow and slippery: David showed totally next-level determination to make it down with his usual case of handpicked garments and accessories for me to model with... It’s totally signature of this creatively passionate gent to have a magical assortment of wardrobe for his shoots that he carefully plans and preps for according to the model he works with. He really goes beyond to get those killer shots and has a real eye for beauty no matter what the venue. We achieved some of the most elegant images thinkable on this shoot - don’t get me wrong, it’s a superb location for the “nude nymph” classic art nude style, but David’s innovative thought process gave us some truly wonderful pictures that had a definite grace about them. Envisage milky water from a long exposure and a long dainty white gown on the top of the fall falls where the dress continues with the water. Sounds fabulous before you’ve even seen the picture doesn’t it! :P In all the times I have worked with David he has always input lovely visions into his work and always pushes to get the best possible photos whether they portray emotion, drama, beauty or artistic merit: David knows exactly what he’s wanting to achieve, whilst working harmoniously with the model to get the goods as a team. He’s a brilliant photographer to work with, and it’s always exciting to see what lovely concepts he is conjuring for the next time! :D The back of the camera shots looked immense, and the edits that David kindly sent me after - even more phenomenal.

As per the usual standard with working with David: the time melted. It went by so quickly as we enjoyed the routine rapport and friendly bounce - normally a sign of an enjoyable experience isn’t it? :) I had previously gained David’s trust for climbing around into mad places after I clambered all over machinery to daring places, so when I proposed sitting under the waterfall itself or standing on the top: David had a lot of faith in me to achieve the shot safely which I commend so highly... But being the caring and gentle person that he is, of course it didn’t stop him worrying about me. :) This is because the models safety is his prime concern at all times - he will never ask a model to do something they are not comfortable with, and more often than not: it will be the models suggesting “this and that” and poor David agreeing reluctantly but still concerning massively inside. He’s an utter star of a human with the biggest heart possible and not only is he respectful and professional to the core; but he’s wonderful company too and such a good laugh! :) Of course endless chit-chat is ongoing from the beginning to the moment you part ways and it’s just an all-round terrific day in the end! With some rather dazzling pictures to admire afterwards. :D

We’ve since shot again and I’m sure future shoots will have just as much positivity radiating. So once more: I recommend David incredibly high to other models.

This shoot was a spectacular double-whammy of awesomeness! :D One reason being because it had been so long since I’d had the chance to work with this wonderful gentleman relative to our first shoot, and two because I got to work at the AMAZING Wortley Forge location again - similarly, I had not been for ‘donkeys!’ :P So a day working all the wonderful possibilities at this unique site with a highly passionate and lovely photographer was most certainly something to look forward to with excitement!

David is genuinely one of the nicest people you could ever meet on the planet. He’s the epitome of polite and courteous towards the models he works with, shows so much caring and thoughtfulness in order to make a model feel as comfortable as possible. Being a model who regularly works on location, I’m always improvising with sometimes very little in the way of luxury facilities etc. but upon meeting up on the day; David was relaxed and non-pressured (as ever) from the start, showed me to the designated changing/model area which I’d completely forgotten about! And even, bless him, prepared and supplied a selection of snacks and lunch for in between shooting. His intentions to create a wonderful and happy atmosphere really pay off as it sets a positive atmosphere, you can take your time to discuss and execute super fun and special shoot ideas and feel well-looked-after the entire time. :D As such, I cannot recommend David enough; his professionalism has always been pristine and his natural character is just so upbeat and cheery with an automatic tendency to make the model feel at ease. Even just with that - you’re sorted and happy as a model! :D

Creatively, David has a truly brilliant photographic eye and mind!!! You pretty much always pack a gazillion things yourself when going to a shoot, but with David; he carefully chooses outfits and props that he supplies for the shoots and prepares an ingenious plan to work the looks through the various ‘set’ opportunities at the given location. Of course, Wortley Forge just left is spoilt for choice anyway - but David led the concepts knowing exactly what he wanted to achieve with the background and setting. He routinely had to wrestle with strong sun that appeared multiple times and always carefully managed the situation technically, with a never ending repertoire of ideas popping to mind! This makes him honestly so much fun and an inspiration to work with! :D We did everything from elegant portraits, cute pinup, themed grungy looks and of course artistic nude getting completely stuck into the 100 year old dust that lay across the old beams! :’) I must thank David very much also for trusting me with clambering about the place to give him interesting images... Because his mind his constantly fixated on the safety and wellness of the model, there was a few occasions when it was a bit of a shock for him as I casually climbed around. Bound to happen since our first shoot together was in a flat-floored studio! :P But the teamwork prevailed and we nailed some definite killer images!!

Already looking forward to yet another shoot! :D

I was very excited to shoot with David as his communications were just lovely! He came across as a very kind person and that seemed the case during our shoot also.

David shot myself and Poetic minx! We had a location shoot planned! What I found really comforting was that David had made clear that bad weather would not result in a last minuet cancellation - always a worry models have when planning locations shoot during the colder months! However all was well on the day and we were able to g ahead with the shoot!

As we had a 30minuet drive to the location it was a good chance to get to know David! He was full of interesting conversation and made us both smile. This attitude continued throughout the shoot and David was also full of enthusiasm for our work. The shoot went very quickly and we managed a great deal of sets in the time we had! The back of the camera shots look fantastic as do the images David Kindly sent me after the shoot!

A really lovely person and a fab photographer ! I hope we get to work together again!
