Hi! I’m Alan, a boudoir photographer based in the beautiful Staffordshire Moorlands.

Why I'm Here

I'm currently in the process of rebranding and refocusing my boudoir photography business. I'm looking to book shoots here to build my portfolio, to be used on my website, social media, and printed marketing. I want to offer my clients an experience that is a little more exciting and special than your average high street studio photography session.

My Location

I carry out shoots from my home studio, in Leek, Staffordshire. It is south facing and has beautiful natural light flooding through the windows.

My Style

I prefer to shoot as naturally as possible, with minimal makeup (unless there's a more specific look we're aiming for.) I only do minimal editing to the photos I take, as I feel there's really no need to go overboard.

The Levels I Shoot To

I shoot up to tasteful nude level - I never shoot anything explicit. Please message me if you'd like my description of each individual level.

My Process

I understand the need to be clear when arranging a shoot. Once we've arranged and confirmed a shoot together here, I request your email address. This is to allow me to send out the paperwork to you. I do this using a platform called Dubsado. This allow us both to have a record of all communications, as well as completing the necessary paperwork. The paperwork I send out is as follows:

Questionnaire - this is to ensure I have your correct details and to see your ID before we first shoot together.

Shoot schedule - to detail the nature of the shoot we have arranged, and to allow you to select the levels to which you are comfortable working. (Each level is described in this document.)

Model release - to allow me to use the final edited images for the reasons specified.

Contract - to make sure we both know exactly what is expected of us. This document, which is signed electronically by us both, contains all the information about images, usage, copyright, etc.

Once the paperwork is completed, we shoot together!

My Calendar

Don't rely on my calendar here as a good guide to my availability. I'm busy with booked shoots from other sites, and don't always have the time to update it. Please message me to ask if I'm available on the date you'd like to shoot.

What You Can Expect For Your Time

Obviously a selection of fantastic photos, but let's get into the details. I deliver a minimum of five photos per hour of shooting time with me (which is negotiable - although I very often deliver much more than this anyway.) You receive the final edited photos only - I never provide RAW photos or ones with which I'm unhappy. I assign usage rights to you via the contract, which essentially means you can use them however you wish as long as they remain as delivered to you and you credit me wherever possible.

Refreshments

If we're shooting from my home studio, I always provide tea; coffee; juice; squash; and cake. All refreshments are suitable for a vegan lifestyle. We currently use oat milk, but if you have another plant-milk preference let me know.

Chaperone

I always encourage models to bring a chaperone to help them feel more comfortable, for their own peace of mind and to assist with outfits where necessary. Depending upon the shoot, I might be accompanied by my fiancée Anneka or a HMUA.

Travel Expenses

I'm happy to cover reasonable travel expenses.
