Happy New Year 2023 everybody. 

I’m back on Purple Port after a long Hiatus from any kind of photography.

 

My day job has changed, and the future of the company I set up is unclear.
What this means is I can potentially work on days when I would have been previously unavailable and now it’s easier of me to meet and work with people in the, Dorset, Salisbury and Southampton area. 

 

The first project I want to get off the ground this year is formalwear/ballroom. I want to put together a gallery show, featuring currently active models/performers. This means I may need another aerialist to re-shoot large sections of portfolio.

Moving forward into 2023 I’m looking to do more in the lines of working with an MUA, and a Stylist on every shoot. I feel the working with Ellie/ Trash Witch has really strengthened both of our work.

Previously I had focussed on social media content and portfolio/proof of concept work. The restrictions and hurdles I encountered at the time, on platforms like Instagram have put me off doing this. Work with fully clothed models was being censored. The changes to social media and the popularity of short format content mean I could potentially re-edit and re-publish old work in a new way. 

 

Due to this I am looking for a collaborative editor as well.

These last couple of years have been messy, dealing with an at risk member of family, lockdown, bereavement, building work, injures and surgeries, while “day job” work moved 5 times as far away from home.

 

I apologise to anyone I’ve let down, and any projects I’ve let slip due to letting life get in the way.
