My name is Bobbi, I am a long time working MUA (approx 9 years). I'm looking mostly at paid work but am willing to collaborate to expand my portfolio.

I currently work in fashion, photographic, event and theatrical makeup: My career has spanned from being the head of a theatrical makeup dept for 3 years, longterm makeup tutoring, to turning towards event style makeup (formal occasions, weddings etc), photographic and fashion to live catwalks. I also do minor special effects (prosthetic wounds etc).

 I come with my own professional kit:  a variety of makeup for most types and styles, a skin care set for all different skin types, a first aid kit and small hair props. 

I have extensive experience with hairstyling: straightening, curling, braids & plaits of all kinds and creative up-do's. I also have worked with wigs and extensions.

I am an enthusiastic and careful MUA - I take pride in my work and want to offer my services to the best of my abilities to my models, photographers and private clients. I can work to a tight time schedule and am punctual. I'm also quite versatile with my MU skills and coping with environments: I'm just as able doing makeup on a crowded, hot street as I am in a clean indoor studio. I always research in depth whichever look I am assigned to create - not just to give a well rounded and accurate look, but also so I may advise on set. 

Personally I love creating slightly outlandish makeup styles: bright colours, odd shapes and dramatic features are my favourite! I love ethereal and creepy looks as well, indulging my inner horror fanatic. However, I've developed a real affection for very natural, pretty and subtle makeup styles, especially the 'no make-up' look. 

I will happily travel. I have travelled all over the UK and Canada for shoots before so no location is off limits! PLEASE NOTE: If you decide you'd like to work with me, be aware that if it is you approaching me (as opposed to shoots where I have requested to participate), TFP or PAID, travel expenses are still charged. Typically, within Toronto, I charge 15% of my rate for travel.
