Had my first shoot with Bob at the courtyard studio what a fantastic photographer full of great ideas, great at directing, our time together just flew by pre com’s where excellent, the images are just amazing with Bobs great knowledge we got to try out some lighting techniques which paid off amazingly, Bob was a wonderful guy to work with we’ve had talks about shooting together again in the new year I can honestly say I can’t wait, real joy to work with and very professional. Thank you Bob

Bob always goes the extra mile on photoshoots- sometimes literally. He picked up our entire team for todays Retro Diva photoshoot in Ilam.

I'd highly recommend working with Bob. Every shot today looked amazing on the back of the camera. He was always conscious of the background and lighting which resulted in beautiful shots.

His editing technique is absolutely brilliant and I'm so excited to see the images!

If you have any doubts about working with Bob - Don't! In all aspects of shooting, he's a wonderful person to talk to and work with. You won't be disappointed with the images.

I worked with Bob today and I don't think I can say enough good things about him.

If you work with Bob, don't expect him to be just snapping away hoping something will work, most of it is planned and prepped so we both know exactly what we are doing, and from what I could see on the big screen, his planning and attention to detail showed, he was creating such beautiful images with all the lights in just the right places to create a stunning piece of artwork. Although, in saying that, there was room for a bit of a play around if we wanted.

He looked after me well, made me brews, fed me and gave me his hoodie to wear between shots because I was cold. He really is such a nice guy.

Bonus points because his studio is literally 5 minutes away from my home.

I hope to work with him a lot more in the future..

This shoot with Bob was a Dancing with Flour themed shoot with Simon Moore at Courtyard Studios in Stoke on Trent. It was a relatively chilly evening, but Simon and Bob collectively were on the ball with making sure I was warm, and well watered (with coffee!).

Bob is always fantastic to work with. He’s always careful, considerate, highly respectful, great fun to work with and the consummate professional.

The back of the camera images were so cool - I can not wait to see the finished article’s.

I just love working with Bob. If you haven’t worked with him yet - get in touch with him, and do so immediately!

I love working with Bob!

Time goes by so fast simply because we have a laugh as we work.

His ideas are fantastic, and I'm totally in awe of the way he lights his gel shoots.

I'd always recommend working with Bob, he's professional, friendly and a fabulous photographer.

He explains what he's doing with the lights and camera so you get to learn a few new things too.

Can't wait to work with him again soon!

Bob once again was the host with the most. He hired me for another workshop at the Courtyard in Stoke on Trent. This was a RAIN workshop - the photographers were learning how to light the rain as well as a model or client.

Bob was patient with all the photographers, and did a great job of lighting and creating the set - including making a "rain machine" with one of the other photographers at the studio.

For me, it was a very wet shoot, but Bob made it incredibly comfortable for me - ensuring that I was warm and as dry as possible through out the workshop. I was a very happy model indeed.

I love working with Bob, and would recommend him over and over till I'm blue in the face.

I've worked with Bob several times and every single time its been very fun and time has flown by so quickly.

On this occasion we wanted to work with different lighting and a different style. Bob set up all the lighting talking me through which light will effect the image differently, as well as going in depth with all the technical know how, which I absolutely loved! I learnt a lot about the lighting and I really appreciate it when a photographer takes time to do that.

The images themselves look incredible and I've only seen the un-edited ones so far, very excited to see the final results as they look amazing already.

Would 100% recommended working with Bob :)

It's always a true pleasure to work with Bob. This time we worked on a concept that had inspired Bob from Purpleport itself. We were working with Bokeh effect, along with shooting through prisms. The result was some really beautiful, almost Wintery themed images.

Bob is a true lighting expert, a complete perfectionist, and a fantastic photographer. He is respectful, funny and incredibly caring. I can not recommend Bob enough. I cant wait to work with him again very soon!

Bob is easily one of my favourite local photographers to work with. Organised, polite, incredibly respectful, intelligent and a great sense of humour. We organised a ballet themed shoot with a few inspirational images at hand. Bob had prepared the lighting for the first set before i had even arrived, had gotten to the studio to make sure all the heating was on and had even bought us some sandwiches to nibble through the shoot. We managed to complete 3 out of the 4 sets we had prepared, while also allowing some lovely impromptu movement shots towards the end (so I guess technically it was 4 out of 5!) Bob seemed so very pleased with what he had created, and was full of compliments for the effort I had put it.

I would recommend Bob to anyone and everyone. A truly lovely gent who has a heart of gold! Thank you, Bob!

Bob is such a lovely guy.

He ensures the model is happy and comfortable during the shoot.

He gets everything perfectly right down to the last detail, including lighting, angles, pre-shoot communication.

He had a clear idea of what sort of images he wanted to create from the shoot and got them.

I've always loved working and just chatting with Bob, really down to earth and really easy to get along with.

I would 100% recommend working with Bob :)

I have worked with bob three time’s on very different shoots, our first shoot was a zombie and gore group shoot, bob worked so hard to get some absolutely incredible images and kept an open mind about all of our crazy ideas, he was welcoming, patient and super lovely to work with.

Our second shoot was another group shoot, abit more ethereal and fashion based shooting headdresses, the results where phenomenal He captured each model beautifully and again was so welcoming, nothing was too much for him.

Our third shoot was a 1-1 portrait based alternative style shoot, he travelled to pick me up, was super welcoming and had the kettle on as soon as we got to the studio, I have always loved working with bob and always know the images are going to be high quality, he will go out of his way to make sure everyone is comfortable and happy and it’s going to be an enjoyable day.

It is always a pleasure to work with Bob, very easy to get along with and really goes over the top to get the very best for an image. To be truthful he is a professional working under the tittle amateur.Plus its an honour that he works with me, shows me how far down the road I am compared to him. If you was just started out and not to sure what to do, he would deftly be the guy I would want to talk to. Working in his studio he has some excellent equipment in there and whats more important he know how to use it. Always happy to pass on advice and knowledge and tips. On this shoot was joined by the fantastic Chilean Rosa and was happy to say that all three of us came away with great images and had a excellent time. In fact the time flew past and did not have time for all of the suggestions but it was good that all of us added something to make it a fantastic shoot. Always recommend Bob as I can guarantee that images will look good and a great fella to know. Thanks Bob it was a blast.

I approached Bob to help me shoot some millineries I had made with a couple of other models, as I like his style of photography and I find him so lovely to work with. I was overjoyed when he agreed!

We worked for a few hours one evening with two other models (neither on purpleport) and we created some absolutely gorgeous images.

Bob was patient and pleasant the whole time, and helped me to create the ideas I had all along for the millineries. He was absolutely wonderful with the other models, and we all expressed at what a gentleman he truly is.

I am so very pleased with the work we all created together and I can not thank Bob for this enough.

I have met Bob numerous times at networking nights in the area, but today I worked with Bob and another photographer (Simon Moore) on a stroboscopic shoot.

Bob is a wonderful man - nice, polite, professional, and kind. He is incredibly knowledgeable in the world of photography and lighting; it was awesome to see such great photographers bounce ideas and instructions off each other.

Bob is gentle with his guidance, but knows how to get exactly what he is after.

He is awesome, and I can wait to work with him again as his images speak for them selves! Highly recommended!
