Billie Rowland

I have been working as a freelance makeup artist professionally for over two years now whilst maintaining another fulltime job; I am now currently working part time as a Makeup Turor at a private college and have received a teaching qualification in the process; teaching level 2 and level 3 courses.

It is my complete passion to pursue a career in the makeup industry and is why I believe I have never followed through with any of my other professional careers in law and management. I work mainly with private clients and bridal parties.

I started my career working on friends and family which lead me to work in a studio with a MAC trained makeup artist, I learnt a great deal here. I then went completely freelance and I am currently based within a salon in Bawtry, Doncaster.

I also recently completed a professional makeup course in Dubai at a studio called Illumin8 which was founded by a British artist, Kate Goodwin. Here I gained a KHDA qualification and the course has sparked my passion for fashion makeup and beauty editorials. Not only did I learn an extreme amount of knowledge it has made my passion and drive so much stronger.

I have a level 2 and level 3 qualification in makeup, and I have almost gained my teaching qualification.

My schedule is most definitely more flextible now and I would love to build up my portfolio and experience.
