Hello, I’m Brian. 

I've been a bit quiet recently, but in 2024/25 I intend to do both studio and outside/location shoots - watch out for casting calls!  I'm looking to do some classic monochrome head/shoulders portraits in the studio shortly, some outdoors/location stuff, and maybe a little art-nude stuff too - let me know if any of this is of interest, especially if you've some ideas for locations (or studios with natural light).

I'm also considering some 1930s-1950s Hollywood-inspired shoots if any models are interested, especially if you've got an appropriate wardrobe!

My 'style', if I have one, is really just to do what I want, in the way that I want!

In the past my work has been targeted towards international (PSA, FIAP etc.) competitions, with which I've had some success, but I'm now mainly just photographing for fun, including messing around with film cameras and 'classic' lenses, so don't be surprised if I bring a film camera to a shoot, or an infrared camera, or even a pinhole !

I've gained some paper qualifications/distinctions along the way, for what they're worth - LRPS, 'Qualified' status with the Guild of Photographers, BPE2*, QPSA etc, and had some success in national and international exhibitions, but most of this is from sports/aviation photography rather than shooting models.

Being retired I'm available to shoot most days and times.

I do little post-processing on my work, and what I do is done extremely slowly.    When photographing models I tend to work slowly, although not always methodically!

I usually pay models rather than do TF, and if I do pay I usually don't give models images (unless expressly agreed in advance) - although models are always welcome to use anything from my portfolio here on their own.
