I had my first shoot with Beavisphotography as arranged by Misha the studio owner.

In my point of view it was not long enough, not enough time with an experienced photographer who takes quality images. I wanted to do more low key dark ones and Bert's testing. Bert is a super nice man. I hope to work with him again. He is good at directing as well as being patient letting me pose. He knows how to use his camera and change whatever he needed to about the studio set up. I brought some outfits but so did he. He brought me some boots and props to use which I appreciated. I like photographer that puts time and effort and thought into the shoot before during and after. I felt comfortable throughout without this genuine man.

He was easy to chat to and didn't push my levels.

3 years in the making (my tour should have went ahead in 2020!) I finally got to work with Bert on my recent trip to The Netherlands.

We had originally hoped to shoot out on location, but the weather had other ideas so we shot at my airbnb apartment instead.

Bert is incredibly laid back and a total gentleman too. We had a wonderful morning shooting together and I thoroughly enjoyed working and socializing with him :)

I would more than happily recommend Bert to others and truly hope to work together again next time I visit - hopefully this time on location haha!

Bert is full of positive energy, a talented photographer, super easy going and fun!

The shoot was hard and there was a lot of travelling between locations for the whole group but Bert remained positive and very productive throughout the trip. He also shared with me all the photos from the shoot and they are so beautiful! So many good ones to choose from :D

RogerMore and I organise and host Icelandic Dreams photography trips and we have just returned from an amazing week away with Bert!

Due to the pandemic this was the third reschedule! We had hoped that this was our "third time lucky" but due to the mania of airports in 2022, despite being 2 hours early for our flight... the long queues and security held us all up and we missed our gate closure by minutes (no announcements)!! (Mental note; in 2022 post pandemic: arrive at the airport 3 hours before your scheduled flight-minimum!)

RogerMore came up with a genius plan B and a rescue plan and we finally arrived in Iceland 15 hours later to meet Bert and the rest of the team... (plus our second flight was also delayed twice!)

Phew... what a journey and many hours waiting at Luton airport; Luton airport, as the famous "One foot in the grave" series states "where no one can hear you scream!").

Thankfully a member of airport staff gave us all (Roger, IridaS and I) permission to use the "prayer room" section of the airport to rest which was a blessing a half!!) After our manic journey, together; IridaS, Svala (Icelandic Selkie) and I modelled over the Icelandic landscape during the course of the week, venturing to the North of Iceland, staying in a beautiful retreat in Dalvik.

We hosted six photographers and three models in total over the course of the week shooting art nudes in the stunning landscape and the weather was absolutely beautiful, with sunshine every day (very unusual for Iceland!), raining only on the last day that we were leaving. It was the summer time in Iceland in late May-June and much of the day was beautiful sunlight making for the perfect conditions for photography.

It was so lovely to work with Bert for the first time! I'm always a little nervous but needn't have been as Bert is an absolute HOOT! Professional, respectful but alot of FUN and made the week super enjoyable!

I absolutely loved Berts personality, talking about his past career as a Fireman. He entertained my awful sense of humour and referring to him as "Fireman Sam" for the duration of the trip with great humour! Aside from a great person to shoot with, he is a very kind, compassionate man and I definitely felt that I made a friend.

I really look forward to seeing the photographic results and loved the work we achieved together over the week!

It was certainly a very memorable trip...one I will never forget!!

I had a wonderful shoot with Bert!

The communication before the shoot was good and very clear, he picked me up from the train station and then we went to the studio.

Bert was well prepared with several different accessories and ideas, which was very fun because it gave me a good starting point to work from. When we were doing a greek theme and we realized the best things for the shot, was to have some grapes, he even went out to buy some then and there. It was wonderful to see that passion and commitment to the final photo.

All in all he is very polite and relaxed and a pleasure to create with.

Dreaming of Models Photo Location

Bert came along to a studio day at our location with Joy Draiki as a model. Bert is always fun to work with, briungs along a host of ideas and props, he even brought along his portfolio book for us to have a look at which was lovely. Will work with him again in a heart beat.

Should add - this reference is left as a studio capacity. Ive worked with Bert a couple of times in the past as a model at workshops and one on one shoots and he was always great to work with!

Bert is a very very lovely person and photographer to work with. Relaxed, patient, funny and full of creative ideas! This meant lots of laughs and lots of awesome photos (Which he edits very fast after the shoot!).

My shoot with Bert was alot of fun and produced some stunning results! It was great to have a break from the studio and explore some beaches and lakes in the Netherlands.

Bert has a great sense of humor making the shoot fly by. He is very respectful, and generously gave me a lift to and from the shoot, which is always a nice opportunity to get to know a photographer better and Bert is full of interesting stories!
