I have been a wedding photographer since 1980 and began tutoring City & Guilds and GCSE photography in 1984 at the same time I opened my first photographic studio. The studio covered most of the social (wedding & portrait) field, along with industrial and commercial photography.During that time my work was highly regarded and I won awards or my portraits. I also created modelling portfolios for aspiring models.

I closed my studio in 1994 to concentrate on weddings and environmental portraits and worked for Kodak as a photographer for about 10 years. I particularly enjoyed environmental work and classical figure work. I also took on one-to-one tutoring of aspiring photographers.

Whilst I still prefer the beauty that one film can create, I have embraced the digital age and enjoy the immediacy of digital photographs and their ability to be manipulated in programs such as Photoshop.

I can tutor in both film and digital usage, and for the purists can teach the darkroom skills to create archival monochrome prints of the finest quality.
