The Art Place Photo Studio is located on the first floor of The Art Place, Meadows Shopping Centre, High Street, Chelmsford, CM2 6FD. At approximately 10 minutes walk from Chelmsford station, it is ideally situated, offering convenient access to nearby shops, restaurants, and public transport. 



The below fees are effective from now as an introductory price and are subject to change.  

Blackout Studio: Dimensions: 3.40 x 5.70, 20 m2,  5m high ceiling. The photo studio includes an infinity wall, a paper/canvas backdrop wall, dressing room and make-up table. The studio is ideal for portrait shots, fashion, commercial and corporate photography.

Opening Hours : All week 9am-5pm. Additional/ different times can be available after discussion with the photo studio manager. 

Hirers must have appropriate insurance. Details are included in the terms & conditions and available on request. 

Studio lighting equipment can be included in hire.

Services : Toilet, free small beverage station (kettle, teas, coffees, water), free Wifi, Auxiliary portable infrared heating

Accessibility: if you, your client, or model requires accessibility access, please let us know in advance and we can arrange. If traveling by car, the accessible entrance will need a driver for drop off as unauthorized vehicles can not be left parked in this area.

You can also hire an assistant from The Art Place for £10/ hour.

Equipment: LIGHTS: 2x Bowens, Esprit Digital 1000 DX, 2x Elinchrom Prolinca Flash Heads, Light reflectors, 2x Halogen continuous  lights (500w, 1000w).
LIGHT MODIFIERS:  Gold & White reflectors, 2x Hexagonal softboxes, several soft boxes,  2x Umbrella, Manfrotto tripod.

Booking procedure: If you are interested in making a formal booking, please send us an email with the date, hire time and equipment required, if any. We will confirm availability and total cost of hire and we will send you our terms and conditions agreement form. Your booking will be only secured upon receival of the terms and conditions form duly filled and a deposit of 50% of the total hire cost. This deposit will only be refundable for cancellations of more than 15 days in advance of hire date.

Location: You will have 20 minutes access to the equipment drop off area via the Meadows Shopping Centre service area, on the same floor level as the Photography Studio (this area also serves as an accessible entrance to the studio).After equipment is dropped off, you will have to park elsewhere.
