Articus

I am mainly a pencil, chalk, charcoal, pastel and ink artist, and since creating a large wildlife series I developed a taste for creating big pictures, (A0 and bigger).

My subject matter includes more than wildlife, taking in the human form in particular, and an interest in classic cars, derelict vehicles and buildings, and as a retired pilot - interesting classic aircraft etc.

I am a self taught artist, aged 67, (as of May 2024) , and work mainly from photographs, where possible my own, although this is difficult when it comes to portraits of tigers! 

I am currently looking to create a collection of nudes for an international exhibition.  This might be twenty studies of the same model, preferably, or otherwise a mix.  It depends on finding the perfect person, which I hope will happen as a result of my portfolio and profile here.
