I have spent a day with Sue and Richard at their studio in Penrith for portrait and art nude photography course. I've learnt about correct lighting, posing and compositions in one day. I really enjoyed the day spent with Sue and Richard. When I walked into the studio, they made me feel relaxed and comfortable. It was a pleasure to work with talented model Gwyneth, invited by Sue and Richard. I will definitely be back again, this time hiring the studio for another shoot. Highly recommend!

I had the absolute pleasure of shooting at Sue and Richard's place for the first time!

They booked me to model for a photographer they were tutoring and they couldn't have been more welcoming. Sue's pre-comms were great, and I knew exactly what to expect on the day. They're lovely people, super easy to chat to, and they work so well as a team. The studio itself has a great setup and is very well equipped.

As well as the photographer they were tutoring (Diana), Sue got some shots in herself. Both Sue and Richard are so creative and came up with some brill setups for us to shoot. As tutors, they were so helpful and supportive to Diana and we collectively got some fantastic shots.

I will 100% be back to Art by Camera in the future, and I'd very highly recommend the studio to all!

Another shoot at ArtByCamera, this time with Richard and Sue.

I really enjoyed shooting with them, they are always so welcoming and provided coffee and flowers!

We did a variety of different styles, including a photo shoot within a photo shoot and some beautiful back lit shots.

I love being a part of their projects and will happily work with them again!

I have done a few shoots at their studio with other photographers too and have always had a great experience.

An absolutely wonderful shoot with Sue and Richard today at their studio Art by Camera.

I have visited the studio several times now but always when booked with other photographers. On this occasion it was a great pleasure to get to shoot with the owners on their own planned shoot.

Both Sue and Richard are lovely people. Great to get along with and very welcoming. I have admired their work for a while (especially when I see it displayed on the studio walls) so getting to witness the magic in the way they work was really enjoyable.

Very capable and professional photographers and I would definitely recommend them to any photographers wanting tuition, as well as any models wanting to hire their premises. The results from what I could see are amazing.

In simple terms, it was just a great shoot.

Fantastic day's shoot at the wonderful Art by Camera studios the other day. The space is cosy, welcoming and well equipped and has a separate changing room for the model. Richard and Sue go out of their way to ensure that everything is perfect and fully explained before withdrawing. For those of you from further afield, it is ideally situated a few hundred yards from the M6 (junction 40) or 5 minutes from the mainline station at Penrith. Highly recommended; I use it all the time.

I had a great shoot at Art by Camera yesterday with the beautiful KarenR. The studio is well equipped, plenty of room, excellent facilities for the model with spacious changing room. I highly recommend this studio to everyone

Wow. It has actually been a couple of years since my last visit to Art by Camera.

I must, must, must come more often.

It is a lovely studio.

The owners are just so helpful and really lovely people. They really go out of their way to provide everything you need to help make it a great, successful shoot.

A great studio in a great area.

Art by Camera is located at Penrith, just of J40 of the M6 which makes it really accessible from the North West.

Richard and Sue were great, spending time with me in advance of the shoot to run me through their studio set up.

The studio has a changing area where models and MUAs can work while you set up for your shoot.

The studio is a good size, I could could comfortably get full length shots at 100mm on a full frame camera.

There is a range of modifiers to keep most folk happy, but check with Richard and Sue first, esp if you're travelling.

Communication has been excellent, and I look forward to using Art by Camera sometime in the near future.

I worked with Art by Camera when I was invited to model for a tutorial shoot.

I had fun modeling for them and the 2 ladies on the course.

We did a variety of different styles and lighting positions to show the different ways of shooting.

I really enjoyed being the model for this and I highly recommend Art by Camera to all models, photographers and anyone wishing to learn more about photography.

I did a short shoot at Art By Camera yesterday. It's a nice friendly little studio which basically has everything you need for portraits and full body shots. Also being on the edge of the Lake District it's handily placed to mix a bit of studio and outdoor work, especially if the weather turns foul.

Sue and Richard were very nice and welcoming and I look forward to returning there in the future.

Visited Art By Camera for a 4 hour shoot. It was warm, clean and the lighting and backdrop looked great. It has a separate changing room which has robes, makeup wipes and lots of other little things that came in handy. There was a place to make coffee too! We got some good pics there and I would 100% recommend Art By Camera to anyone.

this is a great studio, just what is needed around this area, with top quality lights , various backgrounds a chaise couch with a strong green colour which looks great against a black backgound . The owner Richard is close by should you need any help with the lights. There is tea and coffee facilities and a microwave, with a large well lit changing room for your model . This studio really needs to be tried out, it is private and you wont be disturbed. I highly recommend this studio.

Just like KarenR says, the studio is a fantastic place to work. Sue and Richard the owners were so helpful and welcoming and anxious to be sure that everything they provided was perfect. Even free wifi on tap!

The ambience was warm, clean and spacious, with a separate model's room for changing and make-up etc. From a photographers perspective the range of quality lighting was perfect - any lighting set-up is easily realised and I appreciated the pre-shoot guidance that Richard provided to make sure I could operate everything and create the moods I wanted. Sue and Richard left us for the shoot itself; perfect discretion.

There are few places in Cumbria with the sophisticated studio facilities that ArtbyCamera provides. Being right on junction 40 of the M6 it is also very accessible from Manchester, Lancashire, Scotland and the North East. I am already booked in for another shoot there and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

I am so glad to be the first reference for this lovely studio. And I am so glad to have had the chance to shoot here.

Yesterday I was booked to work with Keith aka moodindigo at Art By Camera and I immediately formed a great opinion of this studio.

First of all it was extremely easy to find which is always a bonus with me!

Sue and Richard the owners were both welcoming and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The studio is itself is spotlessly clean and warm.

Models you will be definitely look after here.

I will definitely be visiting this studio again. Thanks again guys.
