I just had my first shoot with Andy. Pre-comms were great and he'd already found some lovely spots for our location. He took some amazing photos and a lot of them had some very creative spins. He was great to get along with and the time flew by quickly. I would certainly recommend him.

Andy and I had been in communication for quite some time before working together: we’d chatted about the prospect of shooting together a number of time during occasions when I’d been touring his area but never quite managed to match availability. But, patience is a virtue... Because we finally did it, enjoying a tremendous shoot on location in my neck of the woods! :D Andy answered to one of my castings during a rare spate of local availability and within just a few messages: the date was sealed and we had ourselves an epic half-day to look forward to! A shoot that was a very enjoyable one too.

We had picked probably the hottest day of the year (or not far off!) so our trek into the valley and up the hill warranted a lot of cool drinks and subsequent chats about all-sorts as we had breaks in between moving locations. Andy is a super lovely and interesting person to work with, it took us no time at all to strike a rapport as he is a really easy-going and upbeat gent who you could matter to all day (he’s got some super cool stories about his travels for sure!) working at a relaxed pace creating stunning pictures in-between. On top of being really nice, he’s also indisputably professional in his approach as well as respectful and courteous to the models he works with. I felt totally comfortable and happy from the start of our shoot to the last picture taken, and would recommend him very highly to any model in a heartbeat. :)

During our shoot, we were blessed with bountiful productivity! It just goes to prove that even when you’re aiming for a particular location and you find something when you get there that prevents you shooting (an unexpected gathering of people or something else) when you’ve got driven creative heads on; you can improvise and move on to create still outstanding shots varied with concept and style. As we wondered up the hill (further than I had ever actually been on the multiple times having shot around the place) things just caught our eye and we enjoyed utterly bountiful teamwork bounce. :D The lovely thing about Andy is that he really welcomes the models to contribute with ideas too so it seemed to completely fly by when we got into that flow! Andy also had his work cut-out dealing with super strong/glaring sunlight and managing the light as we moved in and out of hold derelict buildings. As many location shoot enthusiasts will know: shooting outdoors you are completely at the mercy of the conditions on the day. And when you’ve got a model posing continuously in precarious places/doing their thing but also all this crazy light to work through: that’s a big job for the photographer to manage! But we nailed some mega images! :D Going through the back-of-camera shots was just a buzz, and if we wanted to tackle a shot again or change it up slightly: we did! Mega high-fives on this shoot for sure!

I had a lovely shoot with this gentleman whilst staying down in Newcastle for a few days. We arranged a very last minute shoot and barely had any time to share ideas beforehand. Even though his was the case - I think we worked very well together to produce some lovely images whilst having a great laugh doing so.

I aim to make all shoots fun and it is even easier when you are on the same wavelength with who you are working with - which we definitely were.

I really enjoyed our first shoot together and hope it isn't the last!

I would highly recommend to any model looking to have a relaxed, professional yet fun shoot.
