References for Shoots at Antwerp Mansion

After a 6 month delay, I was finally able to shoot at Antwerp Mansion. The theme, in collaboration with model Darren, was cross-dressing latex steam punk and dystopian apocalyptica which was ideally suited to the many different urban grunge spaces available here. We also appreciated the central heating that made a potentially very chilly space much more comfortable to work in. Definitely highly recommended to any creative photographers and film makers.

UK MODEL EVENTS

We had an awesome event in Manchester at the lovely Antwerp Mansion! with models Chloe Welsh, Alexa Jane and Katie Royle.

Evie and Andy were great for anything we needed on set today and would totally recommend them both as venue owners!

We made complete use of the inside mansion and what a great venue it is! So quirky and different to your usual style!

Thank you so much for having us! We would love to come back again!

Booked in with only a couple of days notice and found Evie to be very accommodating and understanding, when we turned up to shoot she provided a quick tour / show around and made us very welcome.

The space itself is only limited by your imagination as there are plenty of areas to create.

A fantastic space to be creative! Studios are not my bag man...but Antwerp Mansion isn't a studio but a wonderful space that allows the creative juices to flow. Owners Evie and Andrew couldn't have been more welcoming, communications were first rate and a splendid time was had by all. My model, on her debut, loved the location and the images produced were exactly as we wanted. I will be a visitor to Antwerp Mansions again soon...with a full entourage! Brilliant!

Done two shoots with models here, plus two shoots with no models to assess angles,light levels, ideas etc. Fantastic place, still finding new places and prop combinations. Love the darkness in the dark places, love the light in the light places, love the chaos in the chaotic places, love the emptiness in the empty places. Would love to move in to the spare bedroom and shoot here for the rest of eternity ! Please, please don't spoil it by doing too much tidying up or renovating !

what an amazing place & amazing owners, this place is epic if your looking for that unloved, abandoned & trashed, gritty sort of feel. Dont expect clean & tidy & you will be very happy. It also has good heating in most rooms, so that certainly a bonus I love it & defo be going back again

Great venue, really unique, massive ballroom and full of unusual props, it’s like urbexing but without the stress of being discovered by a security guard and it’s warm and dry.

Pre shoot comms from Evie was first class.

Highly recommended.

As I was doing a Halloween themed shoot it simply had to be done here. The building is perfect for any horror shoots and Andy and Evie are top hosts. Highly recommended

After seeing other images shot here, I wanted to visit the place myself, I wasn’t disappointed.

When you first walk in you think this place will be cold, how wrong was I. Underfloor heating in many of the rooms made it a very comfortable place to shoot.

The owners are great, very helpful, they make sure you are all sorted and then they leave you alone to work.

So many areas to shoot in and not as restrictive as a standard studio, I’ll be returning.

My first visit to Antwerp Mansions and a truly unique venue to shoot in. The management went out of their way to offer all assistance possible with the rooms and intriguing collection of artefacts to shoot with. A great opportunity to access something really different.

What can I say ?

This is easily one of the best locations to shoot !

Evie as a host is friendly and really helpful.

I love the mansion because it has so much variety, and this was my first time working with four models, so having so much space it was great to give my images the look I wanted.

I’m already planning more shoots and can’t recommend the mansion highly enough.

Well worth the money and an incredible shoot location.

Also, if you’re looking for a slightly creepier vibe, this place at night.... chills

After a seemingly interminable email ping pong bout, I finally booked Shoots at Antwerp Mansion for a project. Evie almost was derisory about my letting off smoke grenades inside the building. Hah! That doesn't frighten us!

Despite reserving the ballroom for the day, I ended up in the Red Room. My own choice as it had a better stage, and no windows. The only problem there was the floor was filled with chairs. I mean filled.

No problem. We can clear this in about half an hour. Evie and Manny managed it in twenty minutes.

The place doesn't have any studio lights. I already knew this, and anyway, I prefer using my own. It took over two hours to empty my car of all my props and equipment and set it up, but now I was in the biggest room I'll probably ever shoot in. Power points all over the place, and the only thing missing was an extraction system. I don't normally need an extractor on a shoot. But then again, I don't normally go through about 10 smoke grenades indoors.

Left to our own devices, with Evie on hand for any assistance whenever someone called.

If you're after a stately home, move on. But this place is big, versatile, has adequate parking and security, and is reasonable. If you want somewhere to let your imagination run riot - Look no further.

I hired Antwerp for a shoot at the end of August and was absolutely chuffed. Antwerp is a fantastically characterful building with a large selection of indoor and outdoor unique and interesting shooting spaces, with beautiful natural light and textures. There are plenty of cool props and sets, making it an artist's playground.

There is free, safe parking and it was easy for me to find on arrival. The hosts were really helpful beforehand via email and on the day, and made us feel welcome, before leaving us to get on with it.

I will definitely be back!

Miss Conduct

Visited Antwerp Mansion as part of a group shoot. The rooms and decor are great and can be used for a range of different looks from fashion and editorial to horror and grunge. Shot in most of the rooms and would absolutely recommend checking it out for yourself.
