Artemisian Luxury Photographic Holidays

We are just back from the latest Artemisian event- this time we all headed to Sicily (finally) after an almost four year postponement due to covid!!

The event was, yet again, incredible- and that's also thanks to everyone involved in the event- all the models, photographers and assistants made it so.

Stunning villa, street fashion, abandoned buildings, beach shoots, driftwood bays, themed shoots and a nod to the Godfather- we covered a lot, once again!

We had many challenges to face- the weather being the main one- oh and you know, the volcano erupting too. It was a totally freakish four weeks weather wise, sun, rain, wind and storms... but you know what- we all made it work, had a bloody fantastic time and created yet more life long memories despite all that- oh and thousands more breathtaking images too of course!! ;)

I say this each time but I am sure every trip becomes my favourite- just getting more and more nervous each time on how to keep improving- especially now I am running Artemisian alone- but I will always do by best :)

Anyway...

Alan has been on a fair few of our adventures over the years and it was great to finally tick Sicily off that list- it was the one that just kept getting away, but not anymore!!

Alan brought with him a couple of gifts- including an engraved item and that was a very, very sweet thing to do!! He also treated us all to an Aperol around the pool on one of the sunnier days- thank you also for that- it's become Alan's tradition I think! :)

Lots of wonderful images taken (as per usual) and of which I have some copies (thank you for letting me take so many!) ;) I'm sure I will pester you for more.

Alan is welcome any time on Artemisian events and I am sure will be back with us in the not too distant future :)

Artemis Fauna

Just a brief reference for everyone who photographed me on the latest Artemisian event to Sicily!

I don't want to repeat what I will write from the Artemisian account but from a model's point of view I had a fabulous time and am so pleased with the images I have seen from the event so far- I can't wait to see more!!

Alan and I have shot rather a lot over the years and we always get such great images! I'm lucky that on Artemisian trips Alan downloads all the JPEGS to his ipad and we can look through at our leisure- starring the ones we like and even airdropping them over so we can use them right away! He also doesn't mind me pestering him about sending over files (they are just toooo good to hide away) :)

Sicily was no exception- we took some amazing images once again. I have some files I can edit and I'm excited to see more from Alan too.

Artemisian Luxury Photographic Holidays

After a long long wait we finally made it! Artemisian was back with a BANG!

A fantastic month long trip and wonderful to have Alan be a part of it once again.

Alan has been a massive support to us over the last few years- always being so understanding, kind and calm. It was fabulous to finally say cheers over the dinner table after such a long wait.

Love the images Alan took while away and super excited to see more being posted.

Here's to the next trip, and the one after that! ;) :D

I shot with Alan at the Bohemian Garden at the Hacienda last year and within 5 minutes of shooting with him I realised he was honestly just beyond amazing! I just KNEW we were going to be produce some stunning images together!!

Can’t praise this photographer enough, stunning images, hilarious and a real delight to work with!! I am keeping my dairy open for Alan whenever and wherever! You just can’t go wrong with him. #alanyoureagod ;)

At the beginning of the shoot we set 4/5 ideas and got through all of them without any stress during of 4h shoot.

Really enjoyed shooting with Alan, we looked through the photos as we were shooting which was great as we could repeat them if needed.

If you have a chance to shoot with him just do it!

So I recently had my first shoot with Ampy - what can I say, apart from YAY!!!

Shooting with Alan was such fun, we really got on from the moment he arrived at my home, punctual, very polite and humble, and I could tell within seconds that shooting with Alan was going to be a blast :-)

Time just flew by, and we ended up just talking like old friends for over half an hour before even discussing anything remotely shoot-related! I always think it’s nice to sit for a little while and get to know someone but I really felt at east talking to Alan. He is such a gentlemen, so respectful of me, my home and making sure I was comfortable and at ease the whole time.

Alan brought along an infra-red camera which was genuinely the most awesome thing I’ve see on a shoot in a long time!!!!! He is a very talented photographer, everything looked amazing even in the small camera screen, he has a wonderful eye and captured some really beautiful images, both with the infra-red and the normal camera.

I would welcome Alan back absolutely any time, it was a real pleasure to shoot with someone so down to earth and kind and I would recommend Alan to anyone.

I couldn’t have asked for a nicer, more chilled out photographer to book on to my recent “Trondheim Stay & Shoot” offer! Alan was the perfect client from the moment of booking everything was 100%. He arrived on time and trusted me fully with the arrangements of his flights an accommodation and travel- no email tennis! He flew in from Gatwick and stayed three nights in my city, while in the meantime I took him shooting and dining to all my favourite places! It was a real pleasure hosting him for 12 hours a day - he’s great company! The images: absolutely stunning. I have hundreds of usable shots that I can’t wait to share. His style of photography always gravitated to close portraits 😃 which for me was splendid! Every set he took his time to compose and expose perfectly which resulted in many successful images. Absolutely chuffed he booked on, 100% recommended.

I had yet another amazing shoot with Alan last week in Bath.

The weather was a tad unkind to us- but it didn't stop us going for a wander around Bath, shooting some seriously cool fashion images in the process!

I loved the results, and Alan made me look so cool! :D

We also shot some lingerie in the hotel room and grabbed a rather special bite to eat out afterwards.

A fabulous day, went by way too fast! Thank you Alan and hope to see you again soon :D :D

I worked with the wonderful Alan for the fourth?! time for a full day at The Loft studio. We decided to spend the day focussed solely on art nude and playing around with different lighting setups and effects! I adore this type of creativity and we had such a wonderful time. Alan is so enjoyable to work alongside, he is so friendly and relaxed which puts you at ease. He lets you free flow into poses with but always knows when he has the shot which means each set never feels fresh and the day moves along at a good pace, allowing for lots of mini breaks and back of camera check ups!

Alan was kind enough to share the images with me and I am so over the moon with what we captured. He is a very skilled photographer with a great eye, I can’t wait to use some of his photos on my portfolio :)

I went away on a very sunny and great phototrip to Copenhagen with Alan, we went away for 3 days.. and every day was very chilled and relaxed. We shot as and when we found time, he allowed me to go and venture out if I desired. And to be honest treated me to such a spectacular meal one evening too.

Every day we smashed the shoots, I felt completely happy to model for him & will be doing so again very soon

I have done so many shoots with Alan now I have lost count, but each time is always a joy and great fun. Alan is one of the easiest people you can work with, he is so laid back and chilled yet has great ideas and takes brilliant images.

Recently we worked together on Artemisian trip Tuscany and The 70s event, Alan is so much fun and a great part of the group.

I will look forward to the nest shoot whenever that will be and of course I highly recommend Alan to any models out there .

Artemis Fauna

I was lucky enough to have Alan join me for four hours on my recent 'Back to the 70's' event at the Hacienda.

We all went back nearly 50 years on entering the studio- the mixture of 70's music, the mustard yellows, browns, purples... even the authentic 70's snacks- we wanted everyone walking in to feel like they had literally gone back in time!

I can confidently say everyone involved had blast for the duration of the shoot time. All 16 photographers walked away with stunning images. I know as I did my best to look through as many as I could-!

The event took six months to create, and the four days flew by way too fast.

We have all raised a lot of money for Battersea Cats and Dogs home and also created many wonderful memories- some of which I hope will stay with me until the 2070's- If I'm lucky-!!! ;)

I am over the moon at how well the event went- I have everyone involved to thank for that- the models, assistants, studio, hair stylist and of course, the photographers. I could't have done it without you- so thank you for having faith in my event and booking a slot.

Artemisian Luxury Photographic Holidays

Alan recently joined us on an Artemisian event for the second time- we were in Tuscany for six days and it was a superb trip!

It was really nice to work with Alan again and produce a great variety of images together- covering loads of different genres and locations in six days.

Alan took some superb images and I really hope to see some over the coming weeks- there are still some from Portugal last year I am dying to see, hahaha! Tooooo many great images!

The six days were really awesome- we all have lots of great memories from the holiday, as we always do!

It would be utterly fabulous if Alan wanted to book onto more future Artemisian events- I really hope he does! Thank you for coming on another adventure with us! Hope to see you again soon :)

I worked with Ampy again yesterday, he’s such a pleasure to be around.. we have great chat and just have a fun shoot every time!

I love modelling for him, I think every time genuinely gets better! Image wise I was truly blown away yesterday, back of the camera was just perfect i can’t wait to see the images online!

We have a great friendship & he’s very professional throughout!

We’re planning a trip as we speak! Going to be EPIC!

Artemis Fauna

I had a brilliant day shoot with Alan at the weekend!

Alan had some specific ideas to work on for the morning (Bowie inspired I was super chuffed he asked me to be part of the idea as I love Bowie!

We shot some creative portraits during the morning, I did the make-up for the shoot and it was nice to chat away and catch up with Alan during this time.

We then spent the afternoon eating a tasty lunch (minus the avocado- sorry!) and shooting a mix of natural light and crazy light patterns...it was an amazing shoot!!

Alan is a super interesting person, I enjoyed myself thoroughly and I am looking forward to working with Alan for almost a week in Tuscany in April! :D

When Alan messaged me asking to book onto one of the Luxury All- Inclusive trips I was over the moon! I hadn't ever met Alan but had seen his work for a long time/ online presence... and I wasn't wrong about being happy for him booking on- Alan was a fantastic person and photographer to have on the trip!!

He was interesting, fun, very kind and I adore the images we created!! Yes folks, I did look at every single one for my "back of camera" session!! ;)

He was a great team player and was really helpful around the place- especially during 'that' one time I really needed a glass of something- LOL- Alan you are a legend and I really hope you can join us on our future events!!

I worked with Alan again recently and had such a lovely day together! Alan had very kindly booked myself and Amber Tutton on one of my Duo studio days, hosted at my home in Wiltshire.

It was really good to catch up and I love Alans company. He is always such a gentleman- very kind, respectful and professional to work with. He always aims to create beautiful photos and this shows in his portfolio.

Alans lighting is lovely and he goes out of his way to set up the lighting so that it creates the best outcome possible, aiming for quality rather than quantity. I really loved the shoot as it was super productive but also very well paced and enjoyable, with several set ups and wardrobe/makeup changes.

The photos from the day looked beautiful and I really look forward to seeing the uploads! Thanks so much Alan - you are one of lifes gents and I really hope to work with you soon. Super highly recommended, Helen x

I modelled with Alan for the first time in beautiful Italy on Colin dixons photo trip,

I'm so happy to have met and worked with such an incredible human and photographer

Throughout the trip Alan was beyond a gentleman, never complained, super polite, appreciative of myself and the other model Zara... made sure we were happy and he just enjoyed himself! It was really nice to see

We shot on locations around the resort and in Italy, he worked well with the other photographer and was a team player! When we got a 1-2-1 around the resort I was blown away by this knowledge of lighting, seeing the back of camera blew me away!

I've never seen images that good! Seriously

You're an incredible photographer and just a brilliant guy!

I hope we work together again very soon :) (just no politics hehehe)
