Alternative and Portrait
I have 21 years experience in alternative process studio photography. My techniques are self-developed; however, I also have decades in the traditional wet procedures (cyanotype, Polaroid emulsion transfers, silver-gelatin, etc.). Along with a Masters Degree in Photography from the University of Cincinnati, I have taught film and alternative process photography at both the University of Cincinnati and the University of Colorado. I've also designed and led many workshops on digital and gelatin-based studio photography.
I'm really excited to start exhibiting my work in the UK and the EU. Everyone experiences with it differently; therefore, it's nearly impossible to adequately photograph.
Subjects pursued include inter-relational communications, isolation, fear, religious and political irony. Influences include Edward Hopper, Helmut Newton, Chuck Close and Marcel Duchamp. Primarily, I am a studio photographer, Photoshop SME and producer of cohesive alternative processes.
