Mark making is at the heart of What I like to do. A passion for simply making marks on a page, the tactile feed back and visceral response has become impulsive and addictive. That combined with a love for portraiture, figurative and observational work has led to this explorative collection.
I work in a variety of media within the pieces, charcoal, acrylic paint, oil pastel, soft pastel. At times layering all into one piece.
Jostling the push and pull searching for a way to communicate energy and life within the image.
