Alex McDowell Photography

Alex is a Gloucester-born visual storyteller, currently working in The United Kingdom.

Currently spending time with NGO's and exploring personal projects with a mission to create global change. From mid 2021 I will be spending an extended time in Ghana.

 

"I am always observing the world around me and am never without a camera. Influenced by fashion and music, I strive to create images that are bold, different and most of all memorable. All my images form a narrative: telling the story of what I see is of upmost importance. Using multiple methods of working, I am currently focusing on Large Format and Alternative Process work - but I am still available for digital commission."

 

A strange one for a model scouting site, but I am currently working on a project "The South West". Where I explore the normal job roles of people in the area. If you enjoy being in front of the camera, and would like to be part of the project (book) please make contact. 

 

As a 'Documentary' photographer, I often miss the chance to shoot commercial work, especially in this current time. On the exploration of staged commercial and editorial portrait projects. Shot using alternative methods.
